I play squash quite regularly with my mate and we have good games but I'd like to play with some new players on top of that, as we know each other's games quite well and I feel like I can improve quicker from both a tactical and a technical point of view by coming up against varying playing styles and having to make adjustments.
I'm 26, not in particularly good shape fitness wise (but looking to improve that obviously), would class myself as an intermediate and am just looking for someone to go and have a session with and then if we both feel it's a good fit we can look to play regularly. Ideal location is Keele Sports Centre (at the university) but would be open to some different places too if that doesn't suit people. Would be looking to play with 1 spot yellow balls.
Drop me a PM if you're interested and we'll get it organised.

I play 4 or 5 times a week but I live down in Surrey.
There must be loads of students you could play on the Keele courts, guess they still have the 2 glass backs with the 2 traditional style courts behind them with the super high balconies?
Last time I was there I think they had trampolines and all sorts of rubbish in the 3 very old courts at the gym end.

Ye they have the two glassbacks and the two balcony courts behind, + court 3 down the hallway is open which we are playing on. Court 2 was open at some point in recent times but I think 1 and 2 are spinning studios now.

Staffordshire had a thriving league team competition at one time with clubs at Stone, Draycott, Leek, Keele, Lyme Valley in N-U-L, Northwood Stadium, Lichfield, Alsager, Tollgate, The Trent and many more besides all taking part. I think it has al pretty much died a death and the clubs that remain have been swallowed up by the giant North West Counties League.

The owner originally built that because he was a keen squash player and was tired of not being able to get a court back when the sport was thriving in the area. It might not be as popular now but it's still doing pretty well IMO. Always see plenty of lads in their 20s playing.

There is a thriving League system down here in Surrey with literally dozens of clubs taking part and some 20 divisions. Lots of Australians, Kiwis, South Africans many of whom are based around Wimbledon and South West London playing. I actually think while the squash boom in the UK may be over the game is thriving and spreading globally. It makes an unbelievable spectacle when you see the pros play doesn't it!

It makes an unbelievable spectacle when you see the pros play doesn't it! It certainly does, the fitness and concentration levels needed to perform how some of those guys perform (not forgetting technical abilities of course) is unbelievable. Squash has suffered from not being the easiest spectator sport, especially at a high level when the ball is moving so quick. The amount of lets in squash also makes it frustrating, an issue that doesn't happen in tennis once the ball is in play. But with cameras and the average person's TV now being at a level where it's much easier on the eyes I think it's scandalous that it hasn't made the olympics yet. It's also unreal that the guys at the top of squash earn peanuts compared to the guys at the top of tennis. I think Federer has earnt close to $100m in prize money alone during his career. (which isn't even finished yet!)
