0 shots on target, striker with 93% shot accuracy rotting on the bench Very strange. Seems like once you're in Sparky's shit house you can't get out.

The fact that we're reduced to potshots from distance should tell its own story surely? That no one had a good game. Including the spice boys? I'm not quite sure why you've taken to calling them that. Are you missing Deano and the lads? Would you pick that team again on Saturday?

I just don't get why only two (one in particular) is being dug out from the attackig options. For me Affellay was our worst player by some distance tonighr. Offered nothing to an ailing defence, constantltgave the ball away, can't shoot and in the end took to just falling over! I agree mate. I mentioned Affelay & Whelan in another post. Complete lack of protection from them. I've not been massively impressed by Affelay as many on here. I think he's very neat & tidy, but not a defensive midfielder. He's not the defensive midfielder? Whelan is!

They're called that because people are giddy with their fame. They're not treated in the same way as some as our other players when they play shite - as they did tonight, one especially was vastly worse than Walters.

Would it be ok if I turned the stream off and watch my lady dye her hair instead. Hope it turned out better than the game. About the same mate.hardly anything up front,a bit went missing in the middle and most of it ended up in the back of her neck.

If we had to calculate the points we got since the wBA match we'd be very close to bottom IF my aunty had bollox she'd be my uncle. What a stupid comment even for you. It's a pretty high bar too. Just look at his previous character assassination on Arnie to know what a wonderful supporter he is.

He's expected to offer a defensive element to the game which he completely neglected tonight, in favour of neglecting to offer any forward threat.

It seems like a fairly spiteful and unnecessary nickname for them, almost as if you resent them. The team was totally unbalanced and cumbersome and that, coupled with some repeated slapstick at the back, meant we were entirely hopeless going forward and lucky not to lose by double what we did at the back.

We lost before a ball was kicked tonight.
Terrible team selection from Hughes.
It's bitterly disappointing as this season was building up into the potential to be very special.
We then turned in a toothless and pathetic performance at Leicester followed by an admiral effort but ultimately fruitless performance at Anfield. We then regressed with the Palace performance and tonight was truly abysmal.
All teams have these spells and we'll no doubt bounce back soon enough but these are the wake up calls that remind us we're not quite as good as we think are. We're certainly not a top 6 side.
A few months ago Arnie, Shaqiri and Bojan were combining beautifully and looked undroppable. Now one of them is struggling to hold down a spot, another seems a pale shade of his former self and the other is regressing to his frustrating form of 18 months ago.
When you through in the fact our pacey goalscoring forward can't get on the pitch for toffee, things look pretty bleak.
Hopefully Imbula will help things but he can't solve all our problems.

We don't have that, hence why we seem to get over run in there. Affelay is playing a deep role in central midfield & I feel must offer more.

We really need to pick ourselves up now! From a very promising season to being shit for the last 3 away league games, 0-8!!! Not acceptable! In between these games we have also been knocked out of both cups! Hopefully yesterday's signing will give us a boost because right now it doesn't look that good anymore!

Bojan, Arnie and co have taken more stick than most tonight. Its about time the bmx boys start performing again.

Man Utd haven't scored in the first half at home in about 2 years...... So we'll be losing 2-0 at half time. I clicked like on this because I was impressed by your prescience. .. Then I thought about it for a minute and felt so pissed off we're down 2-0 that I unliked it again :p ;) Told you all didn't I, charity Stoke strike again, I was that confident I put a bet on.

Hughes needs to show us his management now, how to lift a squad, they looked low in confidence, berift of ideas, slow to the ball, it was only 6 weeks ago we mullered this fookin lot.
Poor effort all round, thank fook I left home at 4.30 his morning to drive to Stevenage so I don't hae to be around their smug bastard glory hunting fans today.

Still cant understand the logic behind dropping Shaqiri for walters, I really like walters, but it would work better if Shaqiri starts and walters comes on as a super sub IMO

I'm still of the opinion that whoever controls midfield will win the game or at least not lose it. Manure had total control over midfield, our defensive tackles were being made in the penalty box as we backed off and backed off. Teams with poorer defences and poorer attacks than ours have beaten Manure. The other requirement is not to give the ball away so easily by awful misplaced passes. We looked like a team who had never played together before and a number of passes were woeful.

I hate the feeling I get sometimes, against Palace I had it, and again last night, when you just know we ain't going to score in a month of Sundays.
I don't have the feeling for this Sat against Everton though, we will score, whether we will win it though is another matter..

Personally I think Walters should have played up top in place of Crouch, with Shaqiri out on the right wing. They were playing a young lad at left back and we should have tested him with some pace running at him.
Affelay playing deep in midfield is not the answer. Yes hes a tidy player who can keep the ball, but defensively hes lacking. We were exposed time and again in there. In fact I'm not sure he offers much going forward either.
But also our tactics seemed to be off. Utd played on the counter attack mainly, to be caught out like we were for the second goal was criminal and it happened more than once. Lets be honest Utd are not a good side and at times (more so in the first half) we made them look good.
I saw the stat posted above that we had no shots on target. I thought first half especially that we created a lot of half chances to get shots in, but they were all off target. But ultimately we had little mobility and movement with Crouch up there.
Wolly going off was a big downer, Johnson isn't disciplined enough sometimes to play right back, let alone at the heart of the defence. But we had to make do.
In the end it looked like we were just going through the motions like a training game.
And I thought the only positive (aside from the great burger I had walking to the ground) was Bojan. He looked much better than he has in recent weeks.
