Brett Williams [ on loan from Forest ] absolute shite !!! Why do posters keep saying Jani Viander ? He never ever played a minute for us, so how do they know he was dross ? I didn't say he was dross, just forgettable. The fact he never played a minute for us is the memorable bit, because he cost us a wedge at a time when we had no money (possibly £150000). A lot of other players at the time were dross, but at least they were free! I think Gudjon signed him, and I always wondered whether he got a little brown envelope on the back of it Yep, true you never said he was dross, apologies, just does my head in past posts when Viander is mentioned and he is classed thus when he never ever played

We had some dross around 15 years ago. Bryan Small Ben Petty O'Neil Donaldson Marco Gabbiadini Paul Stewart Lee Collins Steven Tweed Steve Woods Robert Heath Jason Kavanagh Greg Strong Steven Taffe Henrik Risom Paul Connor Piles and piles of shit. Who went to Stockport County away around that time?
There was about 1000 of us.
We lost 1-0. Fucking Marco fat fuck Gabbiadini was playing as a lone striker. He was about 40 at the time.
At half time, Stoxkport's manager, Gary Megson, came on the pitch with a microphone and told all the home fans they needed to unite behind the team, otherwise 'we might end up like that lot over there', as he pointed over to us in the away section.
When you think back to times like that you appreciate where we are now.

Richard 'Brucie' 'Fozzer' Forsyth. Popped up with half a dozen goals from midfield in 96/97. I liked him very much at the time because no one else could hit a barn door that season except Sheron!

He could have won us the title that season. I could barely bring to mind his moniker, so recalling how, exactly, he might have won us the title way back when is, I'm afraid way beyond me B.
Needless to say, I remain incredulous though.

Hahaha A proper winger on the wing and Cressy reforming his devastating PNE partnership with Ric. We'd have shit 'em!

The January transfer window during our first season up saw us bring in some quality players who helped keep in the league.
James Beattie, Matty Etherington of course, but none more so than the legend that is Stephen Kelly.
I'll never forget you Stephen.

Who was that iclandic forward who spent most of the season on the bench? Rumour had it he was on some sort of pay as you play contract and we couldn't afford to play him. Was it Dadasson or something like that.
