Glad to hear you're ok mate. My Mrs has been a type 1 diabetic for 45 years and I can spot her going hypo way before she realises she is low. She jabs four times a day which sounds awful but actually she has much more control over her sugar levels than when she was on only two. Do you wear Medic Alert bracelet or necklace? I'm on four injections a day also mate. I was a complete idiot last night. I had a small tea and didn't cut my insulin thinking I'd be ok. Thought I had a tenner in my pocket so if I became hypo I could get a burger or coke. I'd changed my trousers forgetting to take the tenner out. The only thing I had on me was my season ticket. Left my wallet at home with my card stating I'm diabetic. Pushed my luck to far. Vile experience I'm going to get a bracelet or necklace. Easy done mate remember almost carrying the Mrs off Nant Gwynant near Beddgelert few years ago after similar experience. Always have a tube of glucose tablets with you. Glad you made full recovery.

Walking home from the Norwich game on the path along side the A50 up to Heron Cross I was taken ill. I don't know what the hell happened or what I was doing. All I know is I eventually collapsed in a diabetic coma. I would like to thank the several Stokies that helped me. My sincerest and heartfelt thanks to them and also to the police who alerted my wife and also the paramedics who bought me out of the coma. I vaguely remember a bloke catching hold of me and asking if I was epileptic other than that and coming around in the ambulance. If ever I see any of you walking to a game and I don't speak it isn't out of ignorance. I just can't remember. Thanks again one and all. On a lighter note when I eventually got home the wife did me 3 rounds of bacon cheese and tomato boost the blood sugar up a little more. THANKS LADS AND THE TWO LADY PARAMEDICS The bloke who caught you was my dad, he rung me last night and told me exactly what happened. He was concerned about your well-being after you were taken in the ambulance so he'll be glad to know you are on the mend when I tell him

A pal of mine here in Thailand has all the symptoms of Diabetes, and we are all urging him to go for tests, but he won't, maybe scared of the truth. His symptoms are rapidly deteriorated vision, tingly feet, always mega thirsty, and pisses like a horse. Are these considered symptoms.

He will eventually go into a coma if he is diabetic which with the symptoms you've described I'd say yes. Weight loss is another sympton

Hyper-glycemia is much more difficult to treat and a more dangerous condition than hypo-glycemia and he should get himself checked out urgently Shangsy.
