Before the first leg I was speculating on what a "good" result might be. It's really difficult because of the various psychologies. Now we know the score (sic) maybe it will be Klopp who has the pressure: does he stick or twist?
If they go hard at the start to try and end the tie they risk the counter attack, if they take the "what we have we hold" approach, then one mistake could flush all that down the lavvy.
Obviously Sparky has a similar dilemma, but less to lose.
Oh to be a footie manager!
C'mon Stoke...we can do this!

If we win 1-0 at Annfield will it go to penalties after extra time because both teams will have an away goal each??

Two banks of 4. Sneak a last minute winner and then play for penalties where quite frankly we are unbeatable......

Against my better judgement, I also really fancy us to turn them over in the second leg, and then to beat Man City at Wembley.
Keep believing Stokies!

We need a fit and mentally right Diouf for this game IN MY OPINION. I have been saying that for a few weeks, not withstanding I threw a wobbly when he missed the second chance at West Ham! I think his pace gives us an outlet and creates space.

We can't play as poorly again.
We should be fresher.
We know exactly what's required, no ifs, buts, or maybes
Liverpool have a decision to make re: how to approach us - stick or twist?
We're generally better set up to play away from home.
Liverpool will potentially have more injuries to bear (Coutinho etc)

Butland Johnson Shawcross Muniesa Pieters Afellay Cameron Shaqiri Bojan Arnie Diouf Aside from Muniesa NEVER, EVER being fit, what has Wolschied done to get dropped? Wolly's done nothing wrong but Muni is a better footballer. Tuesday we played across the back four and then played across the back four again before playing a short pass to Whelan who played it back to one of the back four. Muni is a defender who can carry the ball forward and create openings, sadly he's as fragile as fuck.

Watched the boys of 66 last night. One phrase stood out to me. Our captain, our leader. I think Ryan will lead us to victory!

Our players did not perform.
That created questions over their mentality.
Up to them to prove they have what it takes

Id drop bojan behind diouf & affelay in with whelan.
There is probably nothing on it but i rewatched the match after recording it. If anybody recorded it also watch the start where the players enter the dressing room, when the camera went on bojan walking in he looked proper pissed off about something which i thought was a bit of a highlight. I know they all played poorly but he didnt look up for it at all

Yes for me we need to play bojan in the hole which is his best position anyway imo. He's not tall or strong enough to offer us an out ball when we are under pressure.
Also with LFC's defensive problems i think bojan having a top game will be key to victory as an unsettled decence will struggle picking him up in that position & he could pull the strings. Nuch better player there than f9 imo

I see Liverpool have signed Caulker on loan for the rest of the season, is he eligible for the 2nd leg o can't they play anybody that wasn't signed before the 1st leg?

They're in the driving seat second leg. Forget the false 9,we need to score. They can happily sit back and defend so don't need to come out. Joselu and Walters to start, scare them like we did second half 1st leg because they can't defend for toffee. Fuck walking it into the net, let's bully them Pulis style!
