We are holding our annual 6 Towns Radio Awards Night on the 20th Jan 2016 at the Mitchell Arts Centre, Hanley and as part of the night we have a Stoke City Player of the Year Award, but it is based on the Calendar Year 2015 not the traditional season. Who has been your favourite player of the last 12 months? It's creates a good debate as it isn't easy to think about two half seasons. Who would be your worthy winner? Cast your VOTE HERE

Whelan, consistent throughout the calendar year & also deputised well as captain during Ryan's enforced absence.

Based on performances in the 2nd half of last season and the 1st half of this, Arni got my vote. Have to say Glenn Whelan (my player of 14-15 season) was a close second, he has been consistently great throughout 2015.

I nearly went for Arnie but ended up going for Pieters has been consistent for a long time . I wouldn't argue with that; he's also been great. But what I think is remarkable is the way Arni helps him out. Arni has transformed himself since he arrived, and is now a great defender.

Marko Arnautovic
Dynamite second half of last season, carried it on into this. Top scorer as well. It's harder to create and score than defend, that's a fact.

Marko Arnautovic Dynamite second half of last season, carried it on into this. Top scorer as well. It's harder to create and score than defend, that's a fact. Convenient that he's really good at both! Absolutely delighted that press and general big club arrogance / snobbery (see poor man's Zlatan) will keep him a little more under the radar than he deserves. If he signs a contract extension (here's really hoping) it's absolutely the equivalent of signing a top drawer player.

Voted for Glenn (Mr Consistent) Whelan.
Our most important player alongside Ryan Shawcross.
Nothing like having a captain in the defence (Shawcross) AND a captain in midfield (Whelan). Our propensity to get the fullbacks pushing on is resulting in Glenn having to do even more covering of defensive positions and reading of the game. Just watch - everytime someone from the back four appears in attack - who is the one who almost always covers for them - his reading of the game and people out of position is exceptional.

Close between Whelan Arnie and Pieters.... In my eyes Pieters probably just edges it. If Arnie carries on like he has for the rest of this season he would be in pole for end of season awards, although Butland and Wollscheid will also hopefully be in the mix

Love Arnie, but we're not fully Stoke without Ryan.

Arnie was good latter end of last season, this season he has been good from the start , when others were not up to speed. I'm a big Pieters fan but I think he has not been at as good in the last 2 matches. Arnie wins this by a mile

Any of the recent starting 11 could walk into the so call big 4 sides at the minute.

I've gone for Erik Pieters. The lad has been fantastic so far. It was actually a really difficult choice to make between him & Butland but he gets my vote.
