I personally think it would be a mistake for both parties to move from New Balance. They are probably the most "trendy" manufacturer in the premier league and I like the fact you can only get Liverpool, Celtic or Stoke kits for UK clubs. Macron kits (and in my opinion Nike and Adidas) in comparison are aesthetically pants. I certainly won't be getting one if we switch.

Personally I don't care who makes it. It's a Stoke City shirt and I'll wear it with pride!

New Balance might be "trendy" but the quality of the strips are average and the leisurewear is pretty crap in my opinion. So If Macron are offering more dough bring it on I say, a simple red and white striped top and a decent green/black striped away top and I'd be happy I only tend to go to the gym or play 5 a side in them anyway as I'm not a 14 year old boy

If we end up with red and white stripes with that stupid "Bod" thing on the shoulders then someone needs shooting.

Noticed on Sunday the players home socks were just unbranded or patterned plain white socks! Poor show by NB if they can't even supply the 1st team with official home socks until the end of the season. No surprises the club has either or is looking elsewhere.

Bloody hell there's some regular Wayne Hemmingway's on here Surely the best deal for the club is what we need, if you look at the Macron website ( Macron 2015/16 kits) there's some that are ok, some not so good (couple of shockers The 1860 Munchen Octoberfest kit is a bad!!) but some corkers as well in my opinion (I'd take the Catania Calcio home strip in red/white and the Sporting Lisbon or Lazio away kits for example). More importantly as I'm not 11 years old some of the training gear for the likes of Lazio and Sporting Lisbon looks half decent as well, the New Balance ones have cheap and nasty transfers on them that either peel off or just look plain shit after a while. I don't get the snobbery if they pay more cash, stick to our traditions for the home kit and give us old 'uns some decent leisure wear I'll be happy....

The red and white striped kits on that site aren't too bad. Incidentally, Real Betis(who play in green and white stripes) had Macron strips for three seasons between 2012 and 2015. The first year's strip wasn't brilliant, but the final two years were okay. They they went to Adidas and it has to be said, their strip this season is absolutely bloody awful. I think a lot of people are just turning their noses up at the name myself.

His track record in this area is so strong.

Any strip with 'Macron' on it looks shit. Cheers Ozwald Boateng............. Yeah, I just looked that up. I'd rather have no brand than Macron. You may as well have a massive cock emblem on the shirt. It's like walking down Bond street with an Aldi bag draped over your shoulder. Nothing wrong with shopping at Aldi or Lidl or wherever, but it's cheap, which is not how I want the club to be portrayed.

My nipper played for his school B team last week. Seeings as its where we live, they play in red (Charlton) some weeks and blue (Millwall) for others. The Millwall Macron kit is a bit meh, regardless of the club badge.

Any strip with 'Macron' on it looks shit. Pretty much. I'm yet to see any nice kits they've produced, and their catalogue of horrors that someone posted fills me with no confidence. Least that's 50-100 quid saved next season.

I'm still bemused over the comment about Macron's "slightly better" financial package than NB? It would be interesting to see the actual figures..
Of course this could all be conjecture..... hopefully.

Of course this could all be conjecture..... hopefully. To possibly compare Villa's deal is £3.75m a year over 4 years, Sporting Lisbon approx. £1.5m a year for 3 years, Napoli was £5m a year until they moved to Kappa, Lazio £2m a year for 5 years. These are their "flagship" clubs I guess. I would expect to see something similar to the Lazio numbers, Villa are a bigger club who I'm sure sell more shirts....

Cheers... Sits well with the opinion that we were offered "slightly better" in line with other Macron deals. £1.1 - 1.2 million - ish?
