The shirt looks great with name and number on, in fact better than black on red and with stripes. But as a fan shirt, the white panel isn't what I want.

If we play Sheffiekd Wednesday away what strip would we wear? Red and white stripes shouldn't be a problem. The Sheffield derby usually sees both teams wearing their home kits.

I had a look at the shirts for the first time tonight and the home shirt looked cheap and not very well put together, the away shirt looked better but again looked cheap. The blue keeper shirt looked nice and for some reason looked better quality. For £65 or thereabouts with badges etc I'm afraid I will not be buying one.

Anyone got any pictures of training gear or know when it's going online?

Wouldn't think our away kit wouldnt be much of a problem eiher as Wednesday's kits are normally a darker blue stripes. Everton and Man City regularly play each other with both teams wearing their blue kits. Attachment Deleted

Anyone got any pictures of training gear or know when it's going online? I asked about this in the club shop on Saturday and they were totally in the dark with the training gear, they don't even know what designs or colours will be used. All they could say is that "usually" the training gear is released about a month after the kits. In terms of my impressions of the kits, I genuinely couldn't find a home shirt in my size that DIDN'T have some sort of stitching malfunction/quality issue. I opted for the away shirt as the quality seemed to be slightly better and upon opening the "poppers" inside the collar for the first time they immediately started to come away from the material. I wore the shirt all day Sunday and despite not catching the shirt on anything I have already got a couple of little pulls on the front. I love the designs of the shirts but sadly the quality really doesn't seem very good at all and I can see the thing falling apart way before the season is over. Fingers crossed the training gear is a bit more robust as this is what I tend to wear regularly for the gym, playing football and squash etc.

I bought the away shirt on Sunday and wore it all day Monday. Delighted with it.
One odd thing is that I had a UK XL size in this season's New Balance kit so, according to the size chart on SCFC Direct, I should have needed an XXL in the Macron kit as XXL in Euro sizes = XL in UK sizes. However, looking at the XXL Macron kit it looked larger than this season's XL kit. So, I took a chance and bought the Macron XL kit and it fits perfectly. The club would have taken it back if it hadn't fitted.
Note: As regards frodekippe's post above where he comments that all the kits he looked at had some problem - when I bought mine, I took the shirt on the hanger to the till and they swapped it for an new shirt of that size in its wrapper - and that is what they have always done when I have bought kits. So, you are not buying the actual shirt hanging up in the shop. Obviously they will replace the shirt they sell you if you get it home and there is a significant quality problem. I'm glad to say that mine didn't have any. I would expect the shirts on the hangers will have been fingered and pulled quite a bit - including many clumsy attempts to open the poppers on the away shirt!
If the poppers are coming away on frode's shirt he should certainly take it back and demand a new one.

I hope they're as per the sizing chart as I ordered an away shirt on line. I don't normally bother but having seen it in the flesh I liked the look of it. However, I made the schoolboy error of adding the new PL badges and then wondered if the thing doesn't fit will the club have it back and swap it. Oops.

Hope not. PS I'll know in about 45 minutes according to the text I've just had. Apparently Don will be calling with my special delivery

The badge on the away top looks like a 5 year old stitched it on
Quality is shabby and material nasty
No surprises from Macron I'm afraid

It'd be difficult to make any kit look good with that huge horrible sponsor logo they have on their shirts, although that home kit is dreadful! Like you say, looks like we've been lucky

The away kit is dreadful. I dunno who thought baby blue would be a good idea. Yes its a shame about that shade of blue, it will simply drain the life out of the face of the average pallid potter. As for the home shirt it doesn't work as a fans shirt because of that ludicrous giant white oblong on the back. It doesn't matter much in the greater scheme of things but we have had a bit of a 'mare with both shirts.

As it takes as long to send something to Bermuda from the UK by post as to send it to the moon (or so it seems), I finally got my new away top yesterday. It looks even better in the flesh, sharp detailing, nice cut, very smart.

Never likely to suit us traditionalists - why have commentators suddenly got a problem in seeing the name and number? The away top hits all the right notes for me, although I do concede that it will no doubt be confused for a Man City shirt by the glory hunting brigade more often than not. We do have history of that colour though (late 70s/early 80s Ricoh sponsored Umbro kit). I'd love a modern take on the white shirt with red and black sash kit of the early 70s as a third kit - my favourite away kit ever.

I think the blank patch on the back of away shirts is a final acceptance by FIFA/UEFA that referees are visually challenged!

Anybody know when the training range is out?
Saw Arnie & Joselu modelling the training jackets and they looked well smart, need to get my hands on one of them ASAP.
