Can we shitbin this. It's simple...you pay for a tkt and this gives you the right to leave in the 10th 30th 69th or 98th minute. The only issue is when you actually decide to leave.....simply go...do not stand on the steps spoiling other people's view of the match.

I'll never understand those who pay to watch the football but don't, people near me come up about 10 mins in the match, go down on 35, come back on 55 then leave on 80. Seems a complete waste, but at the end of the day it's their money, their lives. They're free to do as they please. Just wish they'd keep moving when going, rather than standing in front of me blocking my view when something is happening. Try tapping on the shoulder and ask politely "Excuse me good Sir, but you are blocking my view. Please continue on your way and vacate the stadium to ensure you respect those who do wish to stay until the final whistle. Have a safe journey home" Sadly kindly asking someone to keep moving results in a bit of verbal back and a prolonged stay in front of my view. They are only interested in their viewing not those around them. Usually a bit of a push works but I shouldn't need to.

I travel down from Aberdeen every game, 16 hour round trip. How the hell can people that live in stoke leave 10 minutes early. And at 1-1 having just scored the equaliser ! Well done to all the fans that stayed till the end and clapped the lads off the pitch, but cannot understand these 'fans' leaving on 80. Atmosphere was great before the equaliser then it went quiet and the inevitable happened . I will get home at around midnight tonight if I don't stop , no excuses for the others. Rant over. Fuckin hell mate, fair play that's a hell of a trip! I used to play the martyr card travelling up from Croydon every week - makes me look like a part-timer! Where in Aberdeen are you? I went to the Uni there '79-80, went to most of the home games when Fergie broke the Glaswegian monopoly on the SPL title. Apart from the quality of the beer it was a banging place at the time Im moving up to Aberdeen as of next year, look forward to meeting fellow stokies up there. Ive had a 7 hour round trip every game this season from Guildford so I look forward to the 16 hour round trip from Aberdeen, respect!!!

If I had to drive from Aberdeen to Stoke, I wouldn't start from there.

Nowt new here. Folks used to leave yearly from the Vic in the 60s to beat the traffic. We used to wait 15 minutes after the final whistle and it came to the same thing.

Leave when you want but it's shit support at the end of the day and it's as simple as that. Nothing inspires a fightback like seeing most of the stadium exit because they have no belief that their own team will get a goal. Genuinely don't mind what people do, you either prioritise the game or you prioritise a slightly shorter journey.
As for those saying they spend x amount of money so they can do what they want, if I spent that much on season tickets you'll be dam sure I'd get my money's worth by staying till the final whistle.

What does piss me off is those that go half-way, stand and block the aisles....

I think the question should be 'why are people leaving early'? Maybe it's up to Stoke City to address the piss poor traffic management around the stadium, the reason people leave early is so they don't have to sit in a traffic queue bumper to bumper. I have seen so many incidents of 'car park rage' of someone not letting someone else out etc. I have stayed in my seat until the end of a sell out game before and not got back to Stone until 6.30pm. That was with no accidents or roadworks, just being in a queues to get off a car park and the time it takes. That is unacceptable and is the issue for me. If the club could sort out a better traffic flow more people would stay in their seat till the end and not block others view.

What events in the UK where there is a large crowd does traffic flow freely after it's finished? None that I've ever been to, whether that's football or a concert.
If you want to get away quick, park further away from the ground and walk. If you want to park to the door step then be prepared to wait.
Getting home 30 minutes later than usual - is it a big deal? Not unless there is a genuine reason.
Each to their own I suppose, wankers.

Probably a smaller crowd, but nevertheless the car park empties quite quickly and the only hold up on the roads leaving is traffic lights (of which, there area lot). The difference is lots of exit roads in different directions, whereas at the Brit there are few exit roads.

Stanley Matthews way. Single file traffic why ?? The roundabout at the far end is coned off and attended. You get the odd car and LORRY going in the opposite direction. SCFC and the local authority could get a traffic order quite easily to make it "one way" and two lanes. Car park stewards with the use of cones etc could direct/manage the traffic, with the car parks further out being filtered into the outside lanes and the nearer to the stadium traffic using the inside, when the further out car parks are near empty the traffic then uses both lanes. With a 4.45 final whistle traffic could easily be clear by around 5.45 if not earlier, and the road reverts to normal. A couple of cops at the traffic lights at the far end for an hour could ensure no blockages or problems.

People can leave when they want but there was always going to be a winner in that game (and for the large part it looked like it would be us)
With the game so finely poised at 1-1, it just baffled me that people wanted to leave.

It's all relative really.
If you travel from Aberdeen or Crawley and have a 6 hour drive, what's an extra 20 minutes.
If you live in the potteries and an extra 20 minutes doubles your time home you're probably pissed off.
I leave on 89 minutes otherwise it's 20 minutes after full-time before I get out of the ground.

A big benefit for me when others leave early, as after the Palace and Watford games the walk down to Campbell Road is a lot quicker. the negative is we tend to have been beaten.

What I want know is, did the pissed up fella walking on the slip road towards the A50 get home ok? What time did he leave? Dare I say it! I think it was with ten minutes left to play he stood up and went DRINK and off he went. He didn't even stand on a stairwell or in a exit straight out he went.

It's frustrating to see how many leave early but its their own choice at the end of the day, personally I stay until the end to show appreciation for the effort they put in. Players such as Pieters and Butland always take the time to go to each section of the crowd to clap the fans and its nice to return that, we all have bad days and its nice to show the team we will stick by them no matter the result.
