Can't change a winning team, and Hughes won't if they are all fit. Genuinely do not know how Diouf gets back into the starting 11

Hughes should really do the right thing here to even it up a bit by giving the weekend off to Shawcross, Afellay, Bojan, Shaqiri and Arnautovic. What's your line up likely be with all these injuries?

Go to the Spotted Dog in Barking (don't confuse with the Barking Dog), the spotted dog - come out the station at Barking turn left go passed the Barking (Shit hole) Dog and next to that is the Spotted Dog. Was my local once and a great pub never any trouble.
Barking only 2 stops from Upton Park station

The moves that we created on saturday simply would not be possible with him in the side

Something along the lines of: ---------------------- Adrian ------------------------ Jenkinson Tomkins Ogbonna Cresswell ----------------- Noble Song ---------------------- -------------------- Kouyate ------------------------ Zarate ------------------------------------ Antonio --------------------- Carroll ------------------------- Bench of Collins, Obiang, Oxford, Jelavic, Randolph and some youth. Enner Valencia may make it but I've heard nothing to confirm etc.. Antonio (quick and built like a brick sh*t house) has only played about an hour for us since he joined (came on for Moses last week) but looks very raw - so not pinning any hopes on him being a game changer. Likewise since Carroll returned from injury he's been playing well within himself (I guess to protect glass knees, ankles) and isn't the aerial threat he once was. Having said that - I still think even in the form Stoke are in, we'll give you a game - it's just a shame we'll be more Sam than Slaven!!

As mentioned a few posts back, if we are seriously going to start talking about aiming for 6th spot, we need to win games like this, given how weakened the opposition will be, and how effective we have been away from home this season so far with our counter-attacking style. Keep the same team and let them go out and perform.

I think Sat's match will be a fairly stern test for the midfield in particular. If Applepie, GCam and Whelan can keep control of the game and feed ABS (heh) constantly like they did on Sat, we'll be well away.

Whats the training surface problem ,said today you are going to the new ground training centre next week because of the injuries it is causing. Apparently the Chadwell Heath pitches where the 1st team train has been deemed responsible for some (not all) of the current injuries and been a discussion point for a long time, so from next week they'll be training at Rush Green (nearby) where the Academy are based. Rush Green doesn't have the much in the way of player comforts but once developed will become the long term base training for the club.

9 of us getting the train to Euston in the morning but not sure where to go drinking. Any pubs near the ground? Somewhere around London?
Loads to go at obviously but wondered where the stokies are heading?

Going to have a few centrally then try that 'spoons in East Ham Is it away friendly mate? Yes mate it's suggested as an away friendly boozer on a few sites and I'm led to believe by a Villa fan easy to get served until it gets closer to kick off.

Let us all know where you are heading or end up, and I'll steer well clear! ;-)
I'm meeting some West Ham supporting friends in Plaistow.
I can, however, confirm that the Spoons in East Ham is away friendly as are the other pubs along that very same road down towards the ground. Don't go "lording it" and "gobbing off" though because it won't be too difficult to find mither if you rub the locals up the wrong way.

West Ham played well at The Shit last week. Should have won. If we play like last week then of course we should win (& if we take our shotting boots then we could bag a hatful). However we are not going to hit the hights every game so this game could be tricky. Even with the injuries they look a solid balanced side, alebit a duller one than with their stars playing.

Despite their injury list, looking at hammered's team sheet they're still able to put up a strong XI. It will be a good game I reckon and hopefully we'll rediscover our pre-Sunderland away form.

Slaven Bilic says in todays 'Evening Standard' that Enner Valencia is training with the West Ham squad and may feature to-morrow!
