To be fair, Pej and Andy Griffin said more or less the same about us. Higgy is obviously still desperate to please his boss like a puppy doing tricks, so he can't be taken seriously as a pundit.

When it comes to thoughtful and intelligent comment, Danny has never really come close. Thick he is.

Yeah pej is just as bad. Although I put his opinions down to him being an old school sort.

Danny's okay, and to be fair he didn't say that today He couldn't say it today could he, he'd have been laughed out of the room. We always had those qualities in the ranks and lack of fight or leaders was never the issue and hasn't been since we were promoted.

Disappointing to see threads like this - Danny was a good servant of this club but people want to slag him for an opinion he had every right to express and had a grain of truth early in the season. Some people really can't stand anyone daring to express anything that doesn't fit their particular stand point. He's got every right to express his opinion. We've got every right suggest it was agenda-driven horseshit by a man who thinks every team from England to Barca to Man Utd should play like a Tony Pulis team.

It's funny how that he couldn't wait to get away from his inspiration the first time around.
It always seems personal with him, he's so transparent.

Heard him on talk sport the other night when they were on about players/clubs and loyalty, seems he wernt too impressed how Stoke tried to force him out with the USA tour plane episode !

Too many artists, not enough grafters. Not enough leaders. Naive and fragile. Clearly what he knows about football can be written on the back of a postage stamp. Fuck off higgy you jug eared clown Yeah i remember the first thing i said when he scored the goal that sent us to Wembley was "Fuck off Higgy".He has a earning to live so speaks his mind, like it or not.But for you to say he can write on the back of a stamp what he knows about football..are you sure, how many Premier League games have you played, did Manchester United want you. Oh and he is a jug eared clown is he....post a picture of yourself mate. I know your a trying to be sarcastic,as you normally try to be yet again you fail at it. Idiot. All very well, but no need to bring the s#!t into it

Don't suppose he mentioned refusing to play and faking an injury so as to force a move to Sunderland? Thought not!

Fuck off higgy you jug eared clownCriticism of Higgy is fine. I personally think he was too strong in his criticism of our performances earlier in the season when we were being inexplicably beaten at home by Watford, amongst others. "Fuck off Higgy you jug eared clown", is going too far. Slag him for going to Sunderland maybe, but I think he deserves better than such personal insults. I reserve, "jug eared" for the cunt that manages Bristol City.

Not a clue mate I just caught the bit where him and 3 others were separated from the rest of the squad on the plane, the rest in business class and him and the other 3 in economy, and the 4 on their own were 4 the club wanted rid of, maybe your 'airborne bomb squad'

Higgy was on talk sport telling how he had been disrespected by Stoke towards the end of his time here and that they made it clear by the treatment he got that he was not wanted. Perhaps this has led to some of these less than complementary shite.

He didn't diss us in any way then by fucking off sharpish to Blunderland when somebody waved a wad of tenners under his rather bulbous proboscis?

Higgy was on Talk Sport last night & he included Stoke in his weekend treble at 4/1 so he did know something.................
He was never the most gifted footballer but he actually did have a football brain, he had that unbelievably rare talent in football of hanging around at the back post on corners, free kicks etc. compared to 99% of players who seem to forever watch the ball sailing over their heads.

I like him. He was wrong but I don't think there's any malice from him to Stoke.

I'm all for opinions but the likes of Higgy etc just trot out the same crap about leaders and grafters time after time. Basically it's the same lazy arsed wank that journos used to peddle about us a few years ago that had the same people standing up for Higgy up in arms.

Heard him the other day mention on talksport that stoke shouldn't be mentioned in in the same sentence as man Utd when talking about the premier league... although that wasn't as bad as Dominic cork when asked to predict the wba-spurs game said ' well you know who I'm behind ....you know where my loyalties lie'.....whaaaaaat?

It's not a big deal - the man simply deserves a bit of respect. Disagree - fine. but it would be nice if one or two could hold the insults. Same process happened with Denis not that long since. (His fundamental crime to be supportive of TP.). Danny said nothing derogative about this club but expressed his concerns as to what was going wrong at the time. He might have been wrong, he might have been right and things have been corrected. He certainly doesn't deserve to be ridiculed .

He certainly doesn't deserve to be ridiculed . He continually bleated on about the club in a way that transparently made clear where his loyalties lie. I think it's fair enough to point out he was talking out of his arse. Things aren't massively different now than they were then.
