The internet says 25mph winds at the Brit.
Surely, it can't be enough to call it off?
Although, I guess INSIDE the Brit it will be a lot more than 25mph.

No rain at the minute but it won't be warm up there so some sort of pullover would be advisable Im wearing my turtle neck Good choice Waggy, that should negate the need for a scarf. I do own a turtle neck sweater myself but ones missus decided to put it into the washing machine on a 60 degree wash cycle,so now it wouldn't fit Warwick Davis! I wouldn't mind so much but it was a lovely Fairisle knit that cost me £39.99

Has there been any hint of some kind of 'wind inspection'?

The wind has really picked up in the last hour and whilst its forecast to persist its not supposed to get any worse, i.e. it will be about the same at 1245 as it is now.
Question is, when will the referee inspect? (I think they place a ball on the edge of the goal areas to see if it stays still and if it doesn't, it's off).
Presumably they will leave it late as Man City don't have that far to travel.

Just had a text from the manager to say the match is off.
The manager of our lads under 9's team, that is.

Just setting off from Aylesbury ( near Oxford) , are you saying that it might be an idea to wear a 'cardy' as well as my Retro top today fellas ? IF the evening game the other season ,in really bad conditions could go ahead ,I can't see a televised , day game not going ahead You might be better off wearing a rolled up collar fleece over your retro top....Suit you Sir...and keep out this filthy weather. Met forecast for winds up to 44 mph by mid afternoon. No reason to call game off.

Can people remember the wind for the Swansea home game a couple of seasons ago?! If they do, and remember the game got played, they won't be worrying about today in the slightest.
Stoke 1-0 Man City.

is this wind as strong as the wind the time West Brom was called off. I believe its south eastern. That game was called off because a bit of the stand had blown off. If the Swansea game a couple of years ago wasn't called off then i don't think this one will be.

I hate it when it's windy it completely ruins games. Hopefully it either dies down before kick off or escalates to ridiculous levels so it's just comical rather than frustrating.

If it is called off, the powers that be, will try to find a way of fining Stoke £5000,000. deduct 10pts and award the game to the Mancs 3-0.

Howard Webb just said that the Brit was the worst ground for officials to come to because they hate it with the hostile fans.
Also made the point of a manager saying the same thing to him.
