Difficult to argue with that Joe. I can't think of any British sportsman who comes close in the last 15 years or so. People like Redgrave, Hoy and Ainslie have had huge success but they have all done it in sports where Britain has a modern tradition of doing well. For most of my life (and I am close to 70) we have varied between average and crap at top level tennis - especially men's tennis. Well done Andy - let's hope it inspires a surge in Brits taking up the game.
