They'll do owt to get you to spend your money. If they made stuff cheap enough in the first place, people would be able to buy it. Rip off Britain is alive and well.

I read a good quote the other day about black friday.....black friday, the day when you spend money you don't have,on things you don't want to impress people you don't like. Sums up many peoples attitude to life in general

Sums up many peoples attitude to life in general I have the money, I want a new curved super HD TV and I don't need to impress the wife as she likes me, apparently. I've been watching the prices for a while, if they don't drop this weekend, I'll wait until the sales to see if they drop then.

Anyone who works in Logistics will know that Black Friday and the lesser known "Cyber Monday" are spawned by the devil. The sooner this charade is over the better, although we the consumers fall for this shit so ultimately we're to blame....

Correct mate, I work for a big logistics company and it is mental already as Angry44 has pointed out above! I am a driver quality manager but I am working in the warehouse on Friday and Monday just to help! We have a 360,000 sq ft warehouse and you can see very little floor, it is rammed full! It's not Black Friday any more as the offers have started already for along of companies and last for a week!

Like I've said before, if they charged fair prices in the first place, people would buy more.

Who cares as long as their selling you cheaper stuff. Bring it on. These big retailers make a shit load of money. They could have a sale all year round and still be in good profit. I asked the same question today about the offers being longer than just the Friday and she said it was to avoid the crowds that come in for just the one day. Got to coats as well. 40% off each. Bargain.
