We always lose at Sunderland. I can't see Saturday being any different. We hadn't won at St. Mary's in 35 years... Beaten Chelsea twice in a row ever and If there is a time to change the status quo it's this year... St Marys was only opened in 2001

Sunderland defended well, but they will have to take the game to Stoke this time, and on the evidence of last night don't have a lot going for them.

Local TV here in the North East raving about Sunderland's win. Loads of hype about "Sam's turned the corner " etc.
We may think differently, but the result has certainly given a fillip to the team and the fans.
