That left back for Palace is absolute wank. Their back four are suspect so long as you can nullify Bolaise and Zaha as sunderland have here.

Untimely confidence boost for Sunderland which we didn't need.
Always a hugely difficult trip up there for us.

Much rather they win tonight than satdee to get it out of the way... We'll need drive in the middle if they stick to that system...

Somehow that result was almost inevitable.
We are going to face a strong, aggressive side who launch the ball towards our penalty area at every opportunity.

Sunderland well worth the victory. Threatened a lot and defended well. It will be a tough match on Saturday. The worse result possible. Why is that ? We're level on points with palace with same amount of games played Plus at home they have to be a bit more adventurous We need a good game plan from sparky

I don't think MH will change much but wouldn't be surprised to see Diouf up top in the center so the midfield can run at them... CP had no central threat really.

Well done to the Sunderland fans would travelled over 300 miles for a Monday night match,Sky should not be allowed to show night matches if fans after travel over 2 hours, unless they pay for the tickets and transport.

Playing with 3 centre halfs you need a player who can play 'between the lines' to unlock them
Bojan fits that role like a glove

Sunderland snatch it. Well snatched Sunderland. Now we know they'll kill the width against us... Arnie and Shaq are very different players to how Zaha and Bolasie were today. Especially Arnie, he likes to take a man on, get it out his feet and then get the ball in. What I saw today from the Palace wingers were a couple of show pony's who were constantly trying to get the ball on to a different foot, and show everyone their skills. Beat them for pace and get the ball in the box.

I think it's the best possible result , crystal palace will be closer to us come May and we will now take them seriously on Saturday ,
We've had a good look at them tonight , we will have too much at both ends of the field , confident !

What I saw today from the Palace wingers were a couple of show pony's who were constantly trying to get the ball on to a different foot, and show everyone their skills. Beat them for pace and get the ball in the box. They also didn't have any real CF threat to unlock or work off of either, they looked confused when they got cornered by Sunderland. Shaq and Arnie need to create one-twos with the CF versus a system like that.
