Aged 40, had kidney transplant about 10 years ago, I didn't even know of that, not keen on rugger but he was a fantastic player in a class of his own. Just seen a thread already on everything else pages. RIP Jonah.

He actually did trample on people. R.I.P. Far too young to die. Real shame!

I have absolutely no interest in rugby but actually watched games when Lomu played, purely because he was playing. A magnificent athlete who had it all, pace, grace and power, A sad loss at such a young age

Whenever I hear the words All Blacks he's the player I instantly think about and the sight of him running with blokes bouncing off him. Terrible news especially at such a young age. RIP Jonah

One of my oldest and most memorable sporting memories was watching him run through players in the 1995 World Cup. He seemed like a nice guy too. RIP.

It takes a truly special individual to become 'bigger than the sport' that they compete in. A truly brilliant athlete. RIP big man.

Bearing in mind his health problems started way back when he was still playing in the 90's makes his achievement even more remarkable. RIP big man

Great vine of him pinballing half the French team around: vine.co/v/O1XPggJ6rgqHe defined the sport for people who weren't even interested in the sport. A force of nature, incredible to see. Very sad.
