Anybody else hooked on this ? It's the best thing on TV for me at the moment. Not sure where it's all going as there are so many mysteries in it. Why they've all returned. Why some of them have conscious thought and know they are dead, whilst others don't. What the significance of the flooding is. Whether the young boy is actually evil and caused the bus crash, or is just a seer. Which of the characters who appear to be alive are actually dead, and vice-versa. Whether Lucy is actually in the know about why they have returned as it would seem (and whether she will strip off again )

I honestly think it's one of the best things on television ever, for all the reasons you've listed and more. Twin Peaks is my all-time favourite and this is influenced by that but even better in some respects.
Everything about it is beautiful: the mood, the people, the music (Mogwai), the setting and the storytelling. It doesn't matter that we don't know what's going on, but like you I'm enjoying trying to piece it all together.
I'm going to be very sparing in my viewing of this thread though, because someone may be familiar with the film version and a spoiler at this late stage would be tragic!

There is another one here. What a series it is, shame C4 didn't have the balls to keep it on the main channel like the first series was, Instead of moving it over to More4.

Superb show.
Also worth watching the 2004 film the series is based on.

I think tonights is the last episode.
I've no idea how it's going to turn out, which is one of the reasons it's so brilliant!

***SPOILERS***
What did we make of that then?
Victor's prayer bringing the 'newly dead' back to life was a beautiful resolution I thought. Presumably he holds a middle-ground between life and death, like baby Nathan does due to the status of his parents, and therefore exercises some control over the fate of others. Is Lucy in this same middle ground? I get the feeling that 'returning' is a cyclical (once in a generation?) thing.
Still much left unexplained of course, but that's fine. Logic in storytelling is overrated!

I really enjoyed the first series but after two or three episodes of the second series I couldn't face anymore slow walking from one place to another
