Condolences mate to you and your family. Take some small comfort from the fact that he's free of that vile disease. Remember the good times.

In the early hours of this morning the man that introduced me to Stoke City(Gordon Banks) sadly passed away after a two year battle with Dementia.Such a cruel illness but the consolation is he's no longer suffering. Will never forget the day at Notts County in 79 and the Autoglass trophy win at Wembley in 92 when you were with me or the phone call to you after promotion to the prem against Leicester.Thank you dad and I know you'll be cheering on the Mighty Potters from up above. Xx

My deepest sympathy mate. I know exactly how you feel. My old fella died last week after suffering an horrific stroke, he suffered for six bloody weeks. He took me to my first game in 1974 and I was completely hooked. He supported Stoke for seventy long years and tomorrow is my first home since he passed away. I know he will be looking down and willing the Potters on to a handsome win. Best Wishes mate to you and yours. Condolences, mate. Your Dad will be with you tomorrow at the Brit, watching from above and he will be proud to see you there.

If you are there tomorrow mate, massive hug waiting for you.
My old man will be sharing an ale at 3pm with yours tomorrow, watching the red and white stripes. For many folk who watch football, dad's are so, so important - they are who introduced us to our beloved football team.
Words are never enough mate, but memories can sometimes be.

Deepest sympathy, Mutts. So many of us go through it but for ever remember the happy days together.
Dad was a season ticket holder until his eighties and realised the addiction he had provoked in me, from our first game together, in 48/49.
During our last chat, he said, I'm afraid we'll never be in the first division again, kid, and I responded that we must go on fighting but, whatever, I'd be staying with them for ever. They did and I have.
You'll find many such reminisces ahead and your affection for him will grow.
