Deepest condolences, Mutts.
Your Dad sounded the sort of father we all want to be with our own kids, introducing them to the club which means so much to us and being there every step along the way.
Rest in peace.

Condolences mate. Always a bad time for anyone. When my dad passed and was cremated, before I could arrange a resting place, his urn was kept at home and on matchday if i was unable to attend id position him in view of the TV where we could watch the stream together. Knowing my dad he,d have found that highly amusing and it means you can still have those times where you can act the daft together.
RIP

Sincere condolences. Similar thing happened to me. My Dad died 2 years ago this month, again with dementia that nearly rendered us as strangers to each other.
Another lifelong Stoke City supporter, we started going together in the magical year of 1974. Two of my earliest games were Leeds United and Ajax of Amsterdam, my first night match as a 9 year old, both with my Old Man. Very lucky. For a few matches, 30 years later, I sat between him and my son. 3 generations together. Sometimes, especially with the blokes in your family, it's your football club that holds you together and gives you shared experiences and memories. I've been privileged to experience that.
If it helps, try to remember the good and happy times. I'm sure that is what all our Dad's would want.

My deepest sympathy mate. I know exactly how you feel. My old fella died last week after suffering an horrific stroke, he suffered for six bloody weeks. He took me to my first game in 1974 and I was completely hooked. He supported Stoke for seventy long years and tomorrow is my first home since he passed away. I know he will be looking down and willing the Potters on to a handsome win. Best Wishes mate to you and yours.
