You are taking great delight in winding up this board... You wanna be careful it doesn't come on top for you. Is that a threat over an oatcake message board? Amazing

I don't like to shift the blame on one player for a p*ss poor performance from the whole team in the second half in particular, but as far as I'm concerned that should be the last game Wilson should ever play for the first team.
Totally gutted about the result. Fair play to Watford. For overall performance they definitely deserved the win.

If Muni isn't Injured then Hughes can take as big of blame as anyone for this loss

Been on plane. Missed the whole thing. What happened. We were crap and Watford were superb. They were very solid defensively and broke forward well. Cameron went off injured early in the first half. Wilson replaced him and was awful.

Ohh and we showed the Wi-Fi again... )))) round the 18 yards box back and forth in front of their goal again with no runners from midfield par the course.

What's more worrying is that's not the first time this season where we've come out second half and looked a shambles in terms of our team shape.

The table never lies after 10 games... We're 14th, but still only 3 points off sixth. And we're above Chelsea. It's just really really frustrating because a win today and we would really be on the map with some real momentum. It's a shame we can't capitalise on these moments.

Wolly cost us today. First goal he reads the situation wrong and slips......motorway for deenay to goal. Terrible mistake from Wilson resulting in the second goal, but also that Wolly did`t react fast enough to block the shot. Shawcross and Cameron would have been there fast to save Wilson. I do not trust Wolly anymore.

Should we beat Watford well on Saturday the Results God could do us proud and we'll move on up two, three or even more places especially if: Liverpool and Southampton draw Everton lose away at Arsenal Spurs lose at Bournemouth Palace lose fairly badly at home to Leicester We're due a good win and will be feeling so much better going into the Watford game. Watford have only lost once away tho. Sixth is realistic Palace are away to Leicester, Spurs don't play until Sunday.

Serios question. When did we last score from a corner? When did anyone In the prem Geoff scored a great header vs Mecico a couple of weeks ago. Of course it does require a good cross and he be on the pitch.

I have supported Stoke for 44 years and it's always been the same. We lose against the teams below us who we are expected to beat and lift for those above. Our home record has been awful this year whilst on the road we have done well. We are not the only team that this has happened to. All round shit performance. Let's move on

I agree with you Fred Wooly slipped for first to let the lad in and second after Wilson howler I thought he had time to get across to cover or at least block the shot.
Most worrying was the lack of any chances created all the game for me!
Bad day at the office........move on!
Ned.

Have to confess to having been surprised at the tone of the first few pages of this thread. Sure, City are an established Prem side who've come a long way since getting promoted in 2008, Watford newly promoted, Stoke on decent form. But triumphalist comments along the lines of what Stoke should "expect" against "the likes of Watford" ? Seriously?
It's not very long at all since people were make comments about "the likes of Stoke", and what has endeared City to football league wannabes like us was Stoke carrying on regardless and upsetting teams that needed upsetting. All power to your elbow. And I appreciate that any group of supporters contain a range of opinions, that there were voices of moderation on those first few pages, but you really need to take care not to wander into the realms of thinking that you're too good for "the likes of" Watford. You become, to quote Tim Booth, "the kind of man you've always hated".
Enjoy the rest of the season (except when you come down to the Vic)
Yoooorns, etc

Little disappointing, i thought we could come away with a win after watford were dealt a right hook by arsenal last week. These are the games we have to win to stay in a comfortable position, on the bright side weer above chelsea!!!
