Always seems such a decent fella. Got a feeling he'll turn it on for the cameras tomorrow in front of his family....

Hammond looks like a permanently surprised Geography teacher, whereas Bojan looks like a miniature Greek God

Is it a long shot to think if our Spanish wizard keeps this form up he could get called up for Spain?
Have to say it's going to be great next summer watching Shaqiri and Arnie in the finals.
Jack in goal for England? Super Jon and Glenn for Ireland. My, we've come a long way!

The state of the first few pages of this thread, honestly. It's negativity like this that has meant for years I've taken a somewhat interest in this forum but never been arsed to set up an account. The naysayers who claim that every signing is a flop if they don't immediately deliver within a handful of games and adapt to both life in a foreign country and a new league; a league that is universally acknowledged as more physical and faster than most continental football.
The people who slagged off Diouf; the people at the start of this thread who were convinced that Bojan would be a flop; the people who wanted us to cut our losses on Shaqiri within a few mere weeks, when he wasn't even fully fit yet; the people who thought Afellay was no good before he'd even begun; the people who slate Arnie after a few inconsistent games, and I bet there will be some people will be baying for Arnie's blood and criticising his attitude if he goes on a run of a few games where he doesn't score or create a goal in the second half of the season, or the start of the next one; the people who reckoned the Wolly was a downgrade on Huth.
And that's only our transfers in the last the last three seasons!! I'm not even going to begin to go into the absolute disdain that SJW has been treat with for years, just as one example. Or the people who are obsessed with our old manager: either those who look to slag him off at every turn, or those pining for his return whenever we start a season in a mediocre fashion.
This place, far too often, is a hive of negativity and it is tiring to follow. It makes me stay away when we lose a game, because I can't be bothered to read the same old crap that I now fully expect to find here. Following a football club is meant to be a hobby and something we do for fun, but I really am not fully convinced that everybody here actually enjoys supporting Stoke City FC. It's really weird that you would devote so much time to watching matches, and then posting on here, when you actually don't enjoy the football and only want to slag off the players and the club.

We need to show a statement of intent by holding onto Hughes, Bojan and Arnautovic. Do we want to be also rans or contenders? I have full confidence we want to be the latter! A big test of character coming up for Stoke in the next 18 months! We've worked hard to get where we are now!
Either way let's tie Bojan to another 5 year contract offer him a million to do so and insert a 25 million release clause, ala Swansea and Bony, let's also point out how players previously at Swansea and Southampton have faltered after making "supposedly" bigger moves.
We are on the cusp of something! Let's make sure everybody buys into it or at least secure ourselves against the football status quo!
