When I think of Swansea City, I find that no emotion is stirred in me whatsoever. Plain white kits, modern generi-bowl stadium, bog standard mid table mediocrity - I just can't bring myself to care about them at all, even with Garry Monk and his band of divers at the club.

Odd that the local paper chooses to highlight the Moses penalty "incident" last season and chooses to produce, as evidence of the injustice of it all, the one photograph which clearly shows the original foul IN THE PENALTY AREA by the Swansea player, Angel Rangel. He's no Angel!

Funny as well when they get the infamous penalty that Bony has as much of Ryan's shirt as Ryan has of his.

I think a lot of it is media drivel bollocks to be fair, after clicking fornys link below I got directed to a link on the sentinels version (same media company obviously) where Rangel has given the most typical, inoffensive footballer interview but its termed as a "swipe" for a headline. www.stokesentinel.co.uk/Swansea-v-Stoke-City-Angel-Rangel-takes-swipe/story-28006883-detail/story.htmlfootballer lukewarmly compliments opposing team while talking up the chances of his team winning shocker. ...I guess it doesnt ring as nicely.

"while 44.17% of polled Potters admitted their dislike of the Swans – more than any other team."
That's got to be made up, surely?

Hello guys. Swans fan here in peace. The website that jwhpotter has linked to is the one that people use when they’ve been banned from everywhere else, so don’t take too much offence at the comments. If you want to look elsewhere, then go to these two: www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/swanseacity/forum/and www.scfc2.co.uk/guestbook/A lot of us Swans think that Stoke have been flying under the radar this season and we’re not sure quite what to expect. We know you’ve changed your style of play to a more passing game but that hasn’t yet been noticed by a lot of the fans, who still misjudge you as a long-ball team. Any of us Swans who use the description “hoofball” haven’t been watching you lately. Similarly, outsiders still think of us as a passing side without realising that we now have a plan B and play much more directly, getting the ball to our wingers, Montero and Ayew. We’re hoping for a win, but the last time this referee was in charge it finished 3 – 3. www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/swansea-v-stoke-fans-outraged-10279010If you’re coming by train, the journey to the stadium is through a run-down part of town but if you’ve got some spare time, have a look at the marina or the beaches – we’ve got lots of them. Wind St (rhymes with “mind”) has some cracking pubs but can get boisterous. The pubs around Mumbles coastguard station are more relaxed. Anyone in London to watch the match will find the Swans fans at the Hercules Pillars in Covent Garden. So here’s to an entertaining game – I still detest Jon Walters though. Agreed , I work with around 6 Swans fans and none of them have ever said anything remotely like these comments. If anything they've been complementary. Likewise, this statistic about swansea being our most hated club is just media talk, personally there's about 10 teams I dislike more than them including stockport Barnsley for historical reasons. I remember them coming up for games in the mid 90s and having a mutual hatred for Cardiff and openly congratulating us on this fact in pubs in complete peace. Admittedly this was pre-monk. Personally I like swansea fans as they support their local team- unlike the majority of people I work with who support Liverpool or Manchester United despite being born and living in a different country

Let's face it, they have 'fans' just like us who have become exactly what we and I'm sure they fucking detested about Prem fans. Par for the course and not worth getting bothered about. Gary Monk on the other hand is a snidey cuntlip!

"A massive massive well done to Stoke for not playing shite football And a massive massive well done to Stoke fans who outsung us all night.
6 games without a win.
Still think we will be ok though."
Great quote from the Swansea board.

Shocking game of football,we were shit and you scored a goal thats how I seen it but judging by the threads on the game on here you won the FA cup! Oh well maybe next year....Alton Towers that is It's a massive win for us for a number of reasons. 1. Even though you're out of form Swansea is a difficult place to go to and a place where we've struggled in recent times. 2. Swansea are probably going to be one of our direct rivals in the upper mid-table towards the end of the season so in a sense it could turn out to be somewhat of a six-pointer. (note: I'm not saying we're rivals in terms of say Stoke/Cardiff or Swansea/Cardiff, purely rivals in the competitive sense) 3. It's our second consecutive 0-1 away win (third including cup) which is always a beautiful scoreline no matter how scrappy the actual game. 4. It's our third (fourth including cup) victory in a row which is a huge relief considering our poor start. 5. There were huge concerns that losing Nzonzi, and Shawcross being out injured, had left us with an ineffective defence incapable of performing anywhere near to the required standard so for the team to show they can grind out excellent defensive performances without our best players is a beautiful indication of the strength our squad has attained in recent times, and also alleviates legitimate concerns that without our best player we are a poor team. That means that if Shawcross gets injured again in the future, whilst it would be a big setback of course it wouldn't be the end of the world. 6. We've put together our recent run of form despite not playing amazing. Bojan is showing signs that he isn't too far from being the star he became last year (his first 45 minutes tonight he was excellent but his fitness is still lacking because he went off the boil somewhat in the second half) Shaqiri has had more gametime and should only improve as a result, several defenders are gaining more confidence and experience, Butland made a big error and luckily learnt a valuable lesson the easy way akin to a new driver spinning their car in the ice yet causing no damage to their car or anyone else's. 7. Following from 6 there's an ever growing legitimate belief that we can still make big improvements and that brings huge excitement and hope that we can break into the top 8. 8. A few of our posters who were predicting a relegation struggle and poisoning this board with their incessant negativity are getting quieter and quieter and that makes this forum a much more pleasant experience for the rest of us. There's probably a bunch of things I've forgotten but don't be too flattered by our glee. Swansea are a good side and we're delighted to win because of that but the vast majority of our joy is for internal reasons. Don't flatter yourself by believing we're viewing this as beating an enemy or some nonsense.

Can I be forgiven for not minding Swansea that much?
They are one of the "smaller" clubs who have managed to hold their own in this league, like ourselves, and they have also managed some superb "embarrassing" results against "big" teams like Manchester United. Anyone who can make Manchester United look completely stupid and spoil their party can't be too bad, surely!
Clearly they have some dick fans but so do we to be honest.
I'll get me coat.

HeHeHeHe
I think we should put my cat upfront instead of Gomis. He would sit there licking his balls, but that is far more constructive than anything Gomis does. He is truly dreadful.
There is not enough quality in the side. I'm not picking on Gomis but he typifies what I am getting at. He is not up to it at this level. Very poor but that is the way it has been, bar a spell against Spurs, since the Man Utd game.
We must be so easy to defend against
