Pretty sure that the Ruskies invaded Afghanistan long before the US/UK etc. stepped foot on their territory, they pretty much got their arses kicked to boot Before the Muslim Arabs invaded Afghanistan and savaged the country Afghanistan and Pakistan were lovely countrys with stunning scenery living in relative peace . When the arabs forced the locals to convert is when all their troubles began . There was a region of Afghanistan that resisted the islamification of their lands up to as late as the 1890s but unfortunately they too were eventually oppressed and forced to convert by Jihad warriors intent on creating a world wide islamic caliphate Harry - the Arabs conquered Afghanstan converting it to Islam in the 7th century.

Harry - the Arabs conquered Afghanstan converting it to Islam in the 7th century. Correct . Relative peace up to the 6th century. Are you sure Harry? Arguably the most relatively peaceful time in that part of the world (and relative is important in this context) was the 18th century up to the middle of the 19th when, guess who, wandered in and caused chaos and set the standard for misguided subsequent foreign interventions in that part of the world. Something the Russians, Americans and our good selves failed to learn from. History is important. There are some excellent books on this area in particular. If you want I'll recommend a few.

Only took you 8 hours to use Google History is indeed important and it's a subject that has always fascinated me and it's a subject that I know a great deal about . If you like I can educate you on many historical matters that explain why the world is the way it is today . You might not like what you discover mind but history doesn't care whom it offends , history isn't PC and history can not be rewritten to suit an agenda however hard you might try. The muslim Arabs that spread Islam were anything but peaceful , thankfully when they tired to take Europe they were beaten back in the main and eventually expelled from Spain by much superior Christian warriors. Sorry to disappoint you but their current attempt at taking Europe will also fail

Sorry to disappoint you but their current attempt at taking Europe will also fail Google is indeed a wonderous thing. As, of course is sleep. And work for that matter. An interest in history is commendable. It usually helps people get some perspective. It helps us appreciate there are many interpretations and there is no single (or for that matter simple) truth. Your writing suggest you aren't one of those people. You seem to look to history as something to justify your prejudices. Fair enough. For example, maybe you might like to explain why those same "superior Christian Warriors" failed in the Crusades. And while you're at it, perhaps you could consider the non-peaceful way they went about their business. Likewise, seeing as you mention the Spanish, here's a thought. 1492. The year that saw the Fall of Granada (and Islam in Spain) and Columbus landing in America. A pivotal year. Hardly presaged an era of peace though - what with the Inquisition and the destruction of native cultures in the Americas (Incas, Aztecs etc). The Muslim Arabs certainly were not peaceful warriors. But nor were their counterparts in the West.

You've been on line but not posting all morning son and you replied to carps since last night and since my post Your constant need to put muslims on a pedistal and attack the west at any given opportunity tells us exactly what you are and where you biases lie . The Muslims were unable to take Europe and that hurts you but it's something that you are going have to deal with . The holy lands belonged to the Jews and Christians before Islam even existed , hence the crusades . Superior Christian and European soldiers defeated and successfully defended Europe soil for centuries from the islamic hordes but that doesn't sir well with your views and your warped version of history. That's fine , it's takes all sorts .
