Wonder if Moha was expecting he'd feature more in the senior squad? His agent said when he signed that the fact he'd be closer to first team football here was a big factor in his decision to sign. My mate owns the barbers on London road opposite the cherry tree in castle. moha went in for his haircut last week , Stoke have stuck him in them shitty flats on the roundabout and from his limited English , Moha wasn't to impressed or with the city.

I go to some away games...... I do know the U-21's you are right. Not personally mind. You admitted recently your away attendance was poor, yet always the most vocal. I don't agree with Bayern (silently) on most of the shit he comes out with. But when it comes to the U21s he knows a damn sight more than me so I trust him there. As for away games. I don't get your point. They can be streamed and just because someone doesn't go doesn't mean they can't voice their opinion if they've seen it online. On the other hand, Bayern does go on and on like a broken record sometimes.

I don't often get to see the young players and it was an enjoyable game , we clearly have a few talented lads but like the first team at times seemed to pass for the sake of it at times , which resulted in our play being very slow , Vale created two or three chances by playing quick balls through the middle where's we seemed to take an age to build an attack until the last 15 minutes when we looked a lot more of a threat following the final two substitutions . Crossing also needs some serious work we got into lots of decent wide positions but the delivery was very poor . Still an enjoyable evening and nice to see the Valeites never change

I haven't said anything about last night to disagree with, I thought Mosseley came on because they announced that but did question it as he went to right wing and I thought he was a left back with blonde hair. The Vale left back was the best player and the majority of the Stoke team were poor. His holier than thou attitude on this board ruins it, lots of people disagree with each other on this board but respect each other. I believe that you can never 100% get a feel for a game watching it on TV, especially Match of the friggin Day. One of my biggest discrepancies of the biggest game, a lot of very vocal people with limited knowledge of what's gone on. Please don't think I'm trying to say anyone is a worse fan for not attending games at all, I don't have 100% record by any means but there is nothing worse than people being overly critical without properly seeing the game.

I was just disagreeing with you, nothing more, nothing less. Sorry! He couldn't defend for love nor money and kept backing off and backing off when Verlinden was running at him and he got beat on the inside and outside numerous times. He got forward well but defensively Verlinden was tying him in knots.

Great to see Ryan back ,although clearly in need of match fitness , he more than held his own in a good tussle with O'Connor. Thought the keeper was really shaky especially in the first half: Verlinden was really exciting to watch, and a Shaqiri lookalike:the right back Rennee-Pringle impressed me a lot. The low point of the evening was the uneccessary foul language from the Stoke coach , hardly a good advert for the management team or , indeed , the club.

Maybe you should pop that detail on the OVF site that you seem to frequent. 2 of them agree. The only one who doesn't is a Stoke fan!

If it's the flats on the opposite side of the roundabout to the town centre I thought they were supposed to be quite classy? Either way if they don't like the area (granted it must be a culture shock coming from Madrid/Barcelona) well if they work hard over the next few years then they won't have to live here for much longer.

Yes , them flats / apartments , same place we put Arrismendi , massive culture shock no doubt but as a top 10 ten club in this country , just Nooo , I'm judging cause I've had 3 mates live there , nice enough ... But I've probably stayed in nicer hostels in Madrid ... Either way for an ex Madrid under 20 captain or whatever he was .. It's poor from Stoke

It's poor from Stoke I think some people must live in fucking Mayfair if they think those flats are shitty- they're all privately owned apartments. The way one or two talking you'd think we'd dumped him in an Aspire block in Knutton or something. Join the real world folks.

In the early 80s Dave Mcaughtrie lived in a terraced house less than five minutes walk from those flats. How times have changed.

Ernie Tapei used to camp in a swag down by the billabong, or Fowlea brook as it's known locally.

Are we sure people aren't confusing the London Road flats in Newcastle with the ones in Oakhill opposite the row of takeaways/black lion? Because obviously if people think they're in the ones at the end of the oakhill london road then I can see why they think the flats are shitty.

How those flats have survived my 22 years I will never know! Stoke council must have been infiltrated by communists when they were built.

I lived in one of them for a (very) short period when I moved back from Wales 35 years ago. Bridge Court, junction Newcastle Rd, London Road. Trent Vale.
The first visitor we had as we were unpacking was a TV Licence inspector. Luckily he was after the previous tenant and couldn't come in to eyeball our unlicensed set he could clearly hear from the doorstep.

He couldn't defend for shit. Not that you know anything about the sport arsehole but he got beaten twice in the whole game. Bound to happen. You make your opinion off single moments and bore everyone on here with it. Looking at players for the Staffordshire XI and finding the right back is a regular for Vale now. Gibbons. The left back is without a club.
