Just an advance note for the diaries of those who are interested. Songs of Praise on 25/10 will be coming from Keele University, and heavily features Neil B. It's already been filmed ( a member of the production team told me it was by far the best shoot she's ever been on ). I don't know what material will make the 'final cut' and I don't want to spoil it, but it promises to be another unforgettable part of the Nello story.

Just heard that Neil is also now doing the Graham Norton show on radio 2 on 28 November. That should give something different to listen to on the coaches en route to Sunderland It's never ending !

I took Neil as my guest to the Wembley Suite/Royal box tonight. The image of him getting the bemused Estonian Prime Ministet to sign his book and discuss Marvellous will live with me for some time. Whilst there he also got the signatures of Sir Bobby Charlton, Greg Dyke and Doug Insole, got VIP invitations to the Varsity match and RAF shawbury and fixed up NBFC games against Cambridge University and the RAF. All in an evenings work for Neil

Songs of praise though? Really? I might be wrong but isn't Nello a man with a very strong Christian faith? If so it's probably a pretty big deal for him!

Malcolm , one may attend and bring my good friend Trevor, he used to be a choir boy and has a lovely voice.

i'd like to hear delilah (stoke version) being sung as a hymn, Nello could take the role of TJ with the massed ranks of choir boys/girls all chanting his name before he climbs to the top of keele hall to get the rendition underway

Which one is he ? It's great. The guy looking to the heavens with his shirt off toward the end. Ha, only joking. He's the first chorister in extreme close-up (not the conductor).
