Yep, makes you proud of the Marketing team, led by the estimable Mr Scholes Just a shame we didn't order enough to have any in the shop between Mid July and Mid August. Never mind, I'm sure it wasn't Tony's fault.

A utilitarian shirt for all it seems, a Chairman Mao's Hat of a shirt, you'd expect the peoples newspaper to applaud that >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> "Utterly, utterly majestic. No stripe out of place. No pointless frippery. This is a shirt that suits the straight-and-narrow toil of a Jonathan Walters just as much as the champagne flair of a Marko Arnautovic. If this does not become a cult classic, we may as well all go home."

Would agree if they had made the Bet365 logo 1cm less wdith so it fitted the stripes better.
But the stripes are totally and utterly perfect this year.
Its hard for red & white stripes to stick out when so many clubs where the same style, but we are deffo a cut above this year.
The away strip is not a classic.

I'm not sure that the away top should be ranked so high. It's nowhere near awful but nowhere near brilliant either.
The home top deserves to be up there though, it's a brilliant shirt.
I'm glad we moved on from adidas looking at Southampton's and especially Sunderland's shirts. That Sunderland kit is a shocker.

I think it's one of, if not the best shirt we've had in years. Could have done with the 'The Potters' on the back being stitched mind.

Our home kit has really grown on me, I'm not a fan of red and white stripes at all (yeah shoot me) but they've done a brilliant job of it.
I usually only buy away kits but I'll be getting the home one.

I usually only buy away kits but I'll be getting the home one. I think I know what you mean. I don't have a problem with the players wearing a red and white striped kit - they look good on the pitch. But most striped kits (especially those like ours with a big contrast between the colours) seem a bit "samey" each year as you can't do a lot to make the design stand out. Stripes with less contrasty colours - like Barca's or Crystal Palace's look better than ours when worn in the street in my opinon. That's why the anniversary kit inspired by the Ramblers colours was so successful, I think. So, like you, I generally prefer our away kits where the design team can use some inspiration. However, this season's home kit is very good and deserves to become a Stoke classic - the only improvement would be a bit less red and a bit more white. Be nice if we won a cup wearing that kit!

Yeah I like the simplicity of it, almost old school yet in a modern cut.
Too many modern striped kits are over designed resulting in a mess, I think the mirror sum it up well.

I'm amazed the away kit still gets so much negativity. Best away kit we've had for a number of years, excluding the anniversary strip.

I have to say at first I did not like or want the away strip but it was the only one available to the Asia trophy so I got one. It's grown on me now good quality nice fit really like it and I'm glad I got it.

I've thought far too long about the width of the sponsor panel too and I too thought it needed to be more narrow but the more I've looked at it I've reached the conclusion that it allows the panel to act as such and to not become part of the pattern of the shirt itself. I mean, that 10mm on the panel serves a function. Also, as an afterthought it the panel was reduced in width it would need to be reduced in depth which would have significantly the size of the actual Bet365 logotype. Note to self: still a bit rusty with the old grammar and need to sharpen up before I deliver my first design lecture of the new term.

I'm glad we moved on from adidas looking at Southampton's and especially Sunderland's shirts. That Sunderland kit is a shocker. And would you believe that when that ghastly piece of thrown-together template tat came out, there were people on here making comments along the lines of "this is what could have been," "this is how you do it Stoke," "such a shame" etc. There are many mind-boggling opinions I read on the Oatie, but people's "taste" in kits is something I'll never get my head round Our kits this year are among the best we've ever had imo. The away one is simple but striking and the only detail I can fault with the home one is that I'd prefer a lapel collar rather than round-neck. Otherwise it's perfect. Warrior/NB have done an outstanding job on our kits so far, long may it continue - and thank fuck we no longer have to tolerate that second-rate shit Adidas used to disdainfully toss our way.

It'd look even better with a white 'lapel collar, I think it would balance the white V on the neck, which I conner really make me mind up about. Looks a bit vicarish.
I preferred last yars blue away kit.

At the moment, they only carry Liverpool's.

I think so much of this years black and green away shirt that, upon opening the thread, I was quite shocked to find it's the home shirt (which is also great) that had been voted the best.
