Yes I know the problems in that region but the report went on to say that a relative of his, who was with them, was unhurt. 11 days to get a message out just seems a long time. Whatever happened it is tragic news for him.

If his sister was only slightly hurt, you'd think that he might have heard about her injury (and survival) before now - although probably no confirmation of his mother's death.
Very sad - and reminds us yet again that there are far more important things than football.
