This bizarre article (an email compilation, I think) suggests Stoke City might be a good fit for Brendan Rogers. To be fair the author doesn't think it is likely we'll be sacking Sparky any day soon but, if we did, he thinks Rogers would be a good fit! I haven't actually met a Stokie who would want Rogers as our manager so that would seem to be a downside to the masterplan. Anyway, here it is. No way!

I think Biddulph Vics might be a better fit for Brenda.
(Apologies to the current Biddulph Vics manager)

come on he's a damn good manager who will get a very good job soon.
We are happy with who we got thanks very much, but if Sparky left in a rush I would certainly invite Brenda with open arms.
He did NEARLY win the league with Liverpool in his first season

Did well for Swansea, but I think a club like Liverpool is a step to far for him!!!

He's a good manager but I don't trust him in the transfer market. No problem for us then, we don't spend big money anymore. Also we have a shed load of Spaniards so he would be in his element.

I think appointing Brenda would cause a split that would make Pulis look like the great unifier.
I just can't see the arrogant fucker getting on with Coates in any way and the fans will see through his verbose bullshit in a second.
Not for me at all.

Brenda's biggest mistake was accepting a job to work for a bunch of yanks who don't understand soccer - only interested in making money!

He's a dick and he's come out with some bullshit but he's a good manager. How good is he though, Rob? An average job at Watford, sacked by Reading, a very good job at Swansea on the back of some excellent previous managers and essentially a failure at Liverpool. He most likely will get a decent role but I think his next job is his last chance to be taken seriously as a top manager.

I don't think Rodgers is all that, Swansea had a good set of players coming through and Monk and Laudrup moved them on from Rodgers. At Liverpool Suarez alone was the reason his record is decent. Take Suarez away and you have the middle table club he has now. His tactical know how is questionable as it's taken him 3 years and still no set style or system. Hughes was at the club 2 months and you could see a difference in style it was then a further 3 months for players to be comfortable with what Hughes was asking and from then on the players the fans know we play 4-2-3-1 or small variations of that depending on how attacking the opposition is. Rodgers has played 5, 4 and 3 at the back all in the first 8 games of this season alone, for this reason alone I would not want him anywhere near Stoke

He's not the merger of Mourinho and Rinus he thinks he is Sheiky but he's a very decent top half and maybe even top 6 Prem manager and given what he's good at I actually could see him as a very decent England manager.

But when it went tits up and Suarez left he had no way of getting momentum back.

Don't agree it was all down to Suarez either. If it was, why didn't Dalglish nearly win the league with them? Sturridge, Coutinho, Henderson all played big parts, as did players like Flanagan. He's rotten in the transfer market and dug his own grave but I think he is at least prepared to be tactically flexible and can help develop young players.

I think he's one of those managers better suited at a mid-range club rather than one of the top teams. A bit like Woy.

Can see him at Newcastle ... I was thinking the day he was sacked, that Newcastle might be the best "fit" for Rogers. Their fans would soon convince themselves that he had chosen them over Liverpool!
