I understand why we have them but I hate them with a passion. No football worth watching for ages and it disrupts the side just as they are getting together properly. International football is usually shit anyway and should be confined to the off season

UEFA have made them very enjoyable imo with the week of football idea.
You get to watch a game every day, what's bad about that?
And the reserves will be playing at Vale Park on Wednesday for a bit of a Stoke fix too.

Nobody has ever posted about this before. Yeah they have. And I'm not having a go at hodgson I'm just moaning at the lack of Stoke first team games. Being a miserable bastard after the sodding rugby

I usually agree but this time its gives more valuable time for Ryan to recover without games passing us by...

Not only Ryan, but Shaqiri, Wilson, Diouf and Arnie all crocked. This one hasn't come at a bad time for us really

But yet you'll be begging your boss for time off to watch England down the pub when the Euros are on next summer. Some people really do talk a load of old bollocks.

I try to watch most England games but I missed the Costa Rica and most of the Uruguay game due to working and it didn't bother me one bit.

I hate them when we go into them on the back of some poor results. They seem less bad if you've just won a couple of games!

Don't we have a generally shite record after international breaks or am I completely incorrect?

I am not a fan of them either, but you do know that by not having them, it would just make the summer break be even more unbearingly longer without Stoke? I actually think some form of winter break needs to be introduced like the rest of Europe, albeit it must avoid affecting the traditional festive period. The 2 weeks before?

I agree that watching England matches, which are in themselves pretty meaningless, against third rate opposition, no Stoke players, and we stand no chance of winning an international competition, is hardly worth it.
I relieve the boredom by taking an interest in Stoke players representing their respective countries, begorrah!

The good only good thing about international breaks is most definitely that one can catch up with a good ramble or a spot of twitching and one gets quite excited for the next match to arrive

At least we have a few more days to rest key players when they comebsck from duty and assess Ryan's fitness because we don't play until the Monday night. Hopefully no injuries and we should be fully fresh and raring to go v Sheepsea on the Monday night.
Come on Stoke
