Everybody knows a West Brom fan. I used to live* with a Baggies fan! He's gone awfully quiet of late thinking about it. *not like that. We all have skeletons in our closets mate. ... er... ...that's not why he's quiet is it?

The voice of reason speaks... We were the most written off team in PL history. Pulis' achievements were outstanding with our football club TD I thought you had more sense than this, evidently not. The most written off team in PL history by who? Polis would love you to believe that and kept telling us so that it made him look good. A publicity stunt by a betting co after 1 game does not give any credence to the claim either. If you want teams who are the most written off in PL history there are plenty stronger contenders than we were. Swansea for one and they've done better than us. This season Watford and Bournemouth have been written off more than we ever were by the pundits it's just that they don't talk themselves down like our manager and many of our fans. We have some serious inferiority complexes on here and your post is right up there. There is no reason and was no reason that we shouldn't have been competitive as soon as we landed here. It wasn't a fucking miracle performed by some messiah that we were! BM I kind of feel sorry for you. Your blind hatred caused you to resent everything that was good about the ride. You can't go from 4th bottom in the championship to 11th in the top flight, a cup final and Europe without having some good times. Or is that being brainwashed as well? Waddo holds the record for 1-0 wins in our history. What a terrible time the late 60s and 70s were

There was one gem amongst all the plans put forward to resolve their dilemma: ".....above all, Pulis has to change his approach."
They really are more deluded than we ever thought. Good luck with that.

I'm not a fan of pulis but the facts show that on average promoted teams have a 50% chance of being relegated in the first season and a 33% chance the next season.
Rather than comparing Tone to managers who did exceptionally well. Lets compare him to the majority who haven't.
He did a good job for us in the only way he knew how. It wasn't pretty but it worked.
He's moved on, we've moved on. No need to slate him now.

No ambition to win a game of football, especially away from home. How on earth any supporter paying serious cash to watch their team can be happy with that is beyond me.
With the resources he has at his disposal he should be ashamed.

Newcastle - Pardew West Ham - Allardyce Chelsea - Prety much everyone apart from the Arrogant dick in charge now. Many Arsenal fans can't stand Wenger either. Also it's only Pulis that has caused such vitriol and division amongst our support. BM

Paying kids who work at the club work house wages, successive kit fuck ups, undermining managers, treating successive supporter organisations like shit on his shoe, multi buy, ticketing fuck ups, putting John Ritchie's statue in a bin, our 150th non celebration. Looking forward to seeing them sign Carlton Cole in January.
To be fair, with all the money pouring into the Prem, managers like Pulis & Allardyce who excel in avoiding relegation are going to be more sought after as teams target avoiding relegation more than potentially finishing higher in the league.

One other thing I could never understand about the character is why ask thousands of fans to tip up hundreds of pounds to watch our club in Valencia, when there was no intention of playing the first team?
When push comes to shove, leaving the first team at home because you are worried about the league form fair enough. Quite sensible.
The two added together?
I'm guessing this is for another thread in reality, but didn't feel like starting one.
