I am watching all of Stoke's games in Beijing courtesy of Sina Sports and have the commentary playing even though I don't speak Chinese. I like to get the atmosphere of the crowd. The one thing I have noticed is that the commentators always refer to "Charlie Adam" whenever he has the ball. He is the only player to have both his first and second names used. I'm not sure why he gets this special treatment from the commentators but he does.

Here is the link: www.ssports.com/It isn't a free site. I paid 133 yuan last week to watch Stoke's remaining 32 games. I thought that was a good deal. If I had signed up at the start of the season it would have cost 199 yuan for all 38 games.

I'm guessing part of it may also be that Charlie Adam is an extremely british-sounding name and Charlie Adam himself wouldn't look out of place camping out in a weatherspoons from 10am on Monday mornings. Add all that with his extraordinary goals and he stands out.

Thanks for that - I'll check it out. If you have an Android phone you can download the LETV sports app that lets you watch most Stoke games from free (but on a phone). It only charges for the ones with the bigger teams. I'll give Sina a try though; if the pic's good enough then 20 quid a year won't hurt.
