He publicly said that he has made his decision He privately said that he was leaving on Wednesday night Why hasn't he already formally left if he's publicly said he's going. He has said he was leaving after taking the team out during the week and later on confirmed it in a training session He was always going to stay for the game and leave during the 2 week break giving the new manager some time to stamp some authority He never publicly said he was leaving, he has always remained distant from the media. He privately told players that he was leaving after the game, there's a long embrace with Bilic which more or less confirmed it. The way he's done it has meant there hasn't been a huge deal about it, just quietly walked away to retirement. Big Sam or Pearson inbound I reckon...

Your guess is as good as mine, Laudrup is a hefty wage demander too apparently (also been linked) He's apparently sacked the director of football too, so that does pave the way for an experienced manager like Allardyce to come in. Pearson will be a cheap option & may be prepared to stay with us if/when we get relegated Maybe we're waiting for Rodgers to be sacked...Twitter claims Klopp is on his way to Liverpool. Although, Rodgers is a right arrogant twat so will be waiting for a better job despite achieving nothing of significance with Liverpool

Rodgers to Sunderland would be one of the most disastrous car crashes the Premier League has ever seen.
(after Wilkinson to Sunderland, Keane to Sunderland and Di Canio to Sunderland)
