I thought Whelan was outstanding today.
That bit of skill on the 6th minute will take me a long time to get my head around. Truly mindblowing stuff.
The things he can do with those legs of his...
He caresses the ball more than I caress my wife (and I'm very tactile)
The only downside was that his lips looked a little bit chapped from where I was sitting (Luckily that didn't affect his performance though, just hampered his looks slightly). Hopefully he can get that seen to before the cup semi-final.

Your posts about Whelan are not realistic and no longer funny, it's boring fella.

These were funny when he was good. The last few weeks it's just a tad awkward because he's been...below par.
Hopefully Glenn can give you plenty of cuddles on the bench from February onwards.

Kante and drinkwater showed us exactly how a midfield should play today. Energy drive and quality. When either get the ball there first thought is to look for a forward pass. Now let's look at Whelan. Once he's got it under control (4th touch) his only thought is to go backwards

A quality midfielder will try be positive and make things happen, as well as doing the dirty work, like Kante did today.

If he tried to take someone on and lost it then this place would slate him for that too. We should have players around whelan to drive on with the ball. Nzonzi was the one last season.

Or you get a DM that does both, like most sides in the league have. Kanté, Wanyama, Song, Capoue, Mulumbu, etc.
