Resigned. Leaving after the game tomorrow.
Get money on whilst you still can, although odds of 2/5 are hardly appealing!

Big Sam back at Sunderland? Perhaps. Has already rejected it due to the DOF model being in place here, but Short has apparently sacked him too Nigel Pearson has already had initial talks...brilliant.

We'll leave him to remain on the hall of fame of world class Newcastle managers such as Alan Shearer & Schhhhteve McClaren. Honestly, it'll be either Allardyce, Pearson or Dyche. Has to be British given Ellis Short is seemingly stopping this director of football nonesense

Am I missing something here? He doesn't look as though he's resigned? From the BBC preview of the match
"What will happen on Sunday or a week on Sunday or nine months after Sunday, then I will tell you real story, but now I'm still here and nothing has changed."

Was always a strange appointment. 20 years past his prime as a manager and looked completely confused at the end of last season. Very lucky to stay up.

If true, another Sunderland manager departs just before the upcoming north east derby and a new messiah is adopted after yet another win v the cartoon army.
Another false fawn unfolds before the cycle is repeated all over again.
It must be like groundhog day being a Sunderland fan.

Hard to really identify the reason for this cycle of complete and utter crap at Sunderland.
Got to be Big Sam if they've got any sense

When you consider the size and potential of Sunderland as a football club and then see that they've won the same amount of major honours as us since WW2 (albeit an FA Cup rather than a League Cup) then it does make you wonder why they can't seem to find success. They overachieved before WW2 and have underachieved massively since.
