Strong lineup this year. Could have a QF consisting of Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd, Everton, Southampton, Arsenal, Leicester, Chelsea.

Great to see our supporters writing us off before the game is played. Still, it's something for them to look forward to.

Only have a realistic chance if we more or less sell out though don't you think? If they price it correctly we may get 20k I can't see a sell out It will probably only be £20 and a fiver for kids. Frustrating that we cannot sell out for these games. A full Brit rocking would give us a much better chance of an upset.

Quite optomistic about it, rather this than Palace or Saints away!

Fuck me rigid, that's the League Cup gone for another season. How many times have we drawn these tossers in Cup competitions since we got in the Prem? They keep turning up like a bad smell

Last 16 of the League cup. We are not at home to Derby, so let's put out our strongest team and really give it a go. Let's be brave enough to think we have a squad that can hold its own in the League, take on anyone and have a realistic chance against anyone. We believed this at the end of last season, so come on Sparky get em firing, come on Stokiesl let's give Jt and his mates the reception and game those loathsome fuckterds deserve. Let's not moan, let's just bloody do them. The obvious flaw in my argument is that we have given absolutely no signs of achieving this so far this season

I guarantee they're none too excited about having to come to the Brit. Let's put out our strongest side and get after it. Pack the house and rock the shit out of it. We were gonna face a big club sooner or later, no time like the present. And it's in our house. Bring it the fuck on.

Only Tony Pulis gets almost byes through to the final. I would prefer to beat Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal and then Man City in the final to win the Cup and then we can really say we have earned our presence in the European Competitions. Have we not beaten these teams before?

If Costa plays we'll get 6 red cards. Only after Charlie has scored a couple of screamers from the half way line. Strong officiating please

Lets hope begovic is in goals, if there is one team that know his weaknesses its us. I reckon he's bound to be - Courtois won't be fit, and even if he was, Bego would be his backup and play in the cup. I see Asmir hasn't tweeted about the draw yet...!

This fear of teams has endured in our fans even though Pulis has gone! It seems threads such as this one goes through every reason why we should just lie down and give in. In fact it seems to be getting worse! So we have drawn Chelsea! If you want to win a Cup don't you think that at some stage you have got to face playing a team with a lot of quality? Well we have got quality too now! We are playing at the Brittania! Chelsea have not been on the best of form. They will be thinking about the Liverpool game in the League which quickly follows so I'm looking forward to the challenge we have. Could Shawcross be getting nearer to full fitness by the time this tie comes around? Will Shaqiri and Affelay have been bedded in better and showing their ability? It will be interesting to see the odds for this game! Chelsea maybe be Champions but they have not set the world alight so far this season! Start thinking more positively! We can do this!

More recently, back in 1995, Paul Peschisolido inspired his side to a famous win in West London with a clinical effort to see off the top-flight side, who included Mark Hughes in their line-up.
Wonder if this gets a mention from MH?

We were Favourites against both Luton and Fulham and struggled to get through against both of them, so maybe getting labelled underdogs v Chelsea aint no bad thing.

If the players are on their mettle, we can beat anyone at the Brit. Much rather a home tie than the thought of travelling hundreds of miles to Soton or Bournemouth, so bullet dodged there.
