Unfortunately i have to say my son was stabbed and his throat badly cut in Smallthorne in the early hours of Saturday morning. He comes on this board under Fixpc4u He had been on a jolly with his friends and granted had way to much to drink. He left the pub around 1.30 alone after a lock in and was seen on cctv stumbling around,he went up and down smallthorne bank looking confused. He then left the cctv view and went down a dark side street, he was next seen outside the garage at the top of Smallthorne bank at just at 3.am with a slashed throat.Its very like he passed out for a period. He has no recollection of being attacked and robbed.The hospital confirmed his throat was slashed with an instrument. According to the police and hospital he was very lucky to be alive,unfortunately today he has been rushed back yo hospital with head pains. No one should go out for an evening out and be attacked,scarred for life my cowards with knives. One little 6 year old boy is lucky to still have a father. Hope your son makes a full recovery, similar thing happened to a guy I work with about 8 months ago in Shelton. He hadn't been drinking and was randomly attacked as he was walking home alone, he told the police he thought the two men who jumped him were Albanian/Romanian or from that sort of background. He says the police showed very little interest in following up his attack, hope you have more joy than he did.

The guy I work with was attacked by two men and needed over 100 stitches. He stated to the police that he believed his attackers were from that area of the world given that he works with people who come from that area and is familar with the accent. Neither he nor I were being racist just stating the facts. If the accents that he had heard had been Scouse or Geordie I'm sure he would have said that,or would you consider that to be racist too? The main point of my post was to highlight the lack of police response to my colleagues attack not to point a finger at who had carried out such a cowardly attack. |

Kev, I am sorry for even metioning my colleagues attack on here, I never intended to raise racism as an issue, just highlight that the police were very unresponsive to him, and I appreciate the police have a difficult job to do to before anyone goes down that road, I hope you and your son get a better response and the police apprehend the people who so cowardly attacked him. |

My lad was attacked in Derby when he was at uni there, again he'd had a skinfull and was eating a bag of chips leaning against a garden wall . The home owner came out and beet the crap out of my lad . Broke his arm and nose and a lot of cuts and bruises . The cops new the guy , he had a long record of violence . If it wasn't for me calling up on a daily basis they wouldn't have charged the guy . In the end after 2 months I said if they didn't charge the guy I would pay him a visit with a couple of mates with baseball bats . They got very shirty with me but went round and nicked him next day .
Best of luck to your lad . He's lucky to have survived by the sound of it

I sincerely hope that the culprits are British so that we can all sleep more easily in our beds , safe in the knowledge that the evil swines are not from any ethnic group that gets constantly criticised on here ......
Perhaps the police need to be informative and release more details ...White , Black , Asian ...Clothing hair etc .
Hope that they are caught as we could be reading about a murder ....

I really don't believe this board these days. If yu want a board that doesn't get moderated for bigotry or anything else, 1863 would welcome you. While I'm modding here I will continue to deal with inappropriate comment, there was no need to introduce it on this thread and I certainly didn't start that one off. Kev, just seen the picture in the Sentinel, thank God the stab wound wasn't an inch or two either way. Wishing him all the very best and hope they catch the attacker(s). |
