Gutted for Scotland A fantastic match but the ref cocked it up right at the death That's how things are being reported up here for sure. Blame the ref. What pish. If the Scots had executed a simple line out and retained possession they'd be in the semi final. Scotland did astonishingly well in this game (remembering their wooden spoon in this year's 6 nations). But their defeat is ultimately down to them. What's that old Andy Gray catch phrase - don't give the referee a decision to make. Their mess up at the line out (and it wasn't their first) created a situation where they got on the wrong end of a marginal decision. On such fine margins... But I don't buy that. Good teams find ways to win. Scotland yesterday, having been handed the win by a couple of terrible try-conceding errors by the Aussies, found a way to lose it. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/34576756

Gutted for Scotland A fantastic match but the ref cocked it up right at the death Karma for the behaviour of the Scottish fans at St James Park, first time I've ever heard supporters booing and jeering when somebody was taking a penalty. A guy who works for me went to the South Africa - Scotland game and said they were the worst fans he'd ever seen at a Rugby match, very loutish and unsporting bunch.

I fancy NZ by a good margin in the final, Australia really have limped, stumbled and frankly fluked their way through this competition and I don't think they will have nearly enough.
