So long as it doesn't interfere with us, I really hope he does well. Asmir was a huge part of this clubs progression and we owe him our thanks (not idiot remarks like above). We all know what a fantastic keeper he is, so I hope he grabs this chance with both hands and wrestles it from Courtois. Interesting what the Chelsea fans think: www.theshedend.com/topic/28382-courtois-vs-begovic-who-should-be-number-1/

I am staggered by some of our supporters. Bego left, we all knew he would sooner or later. He didn't perform to his own very high standards last season but some on here would think he did that deliberately!
I, along with the vast majority, sang his name proudly. He deserves far better than some of the crap on here. I wish him well and hope he does put down a serious challenge there. He is a very fine keeper and a good guy.

Great GK, who perhaps struggled at times, but overall one of TP's best signings. Comes across as a nice guy who wanted to test himself at a club competing for honours, he doesn't deserve any abuse. He knew Butland was snapping at his heels and was good enough to step up, so probably felt it was the right time to go.

You can put begovic in the same bracket as tevez, sterling, berahino.
As soon as a player goes on strike and refuses to play for the club that pays him millions he immediately goes from a hero to zero.
Jonny Walters wanted to leave this past window but you don't see him going on strike because it hadn't happened

I hope he takes his chance, and states a claim to be in the starting XI longer term.
I am happy that we have Jack and Asmir did a great job whilst with us.

Not as good in the last year as in the previous years but still an excellent keeper for us. Chelsea have got a very good keeper at a quite a low price.

Seems he got 'lucky' with Courtois injury, but now he's got his chance I hope it goes well for him. he was a great servant of our club and can't blame him for wanting to move to a bigger club, I just thought at the time he'd be v lucky to get much game time as I couldn't see him displacing Courtois.

He might be playing for them when we play them at the Brit then! Glad we have a much better person and arguably a better keeper in Jack here now.

I don't want them to win.... that doesn't mean I won't smile when he walks onto the pitch against some of the best teams in Europe.

Nzonzi Had a Reason to go sit on a bench, his dad and France but begovic can fuck off I hope we boo him when he returns What a Moby. The other way around if anything. Nzonzi was asking to leave everytime he turned up at the ground!

Damn you Begovic for moving to a better club, with better prospects, on more money, damn you! The day he refused to sit on the bench at Swansea, when he more than deserved to be dropped, having refused once before to play, was the day even the remotest amount of goodwill towards asmir disappeared for me. I don't care how good or bad he does anymore whereas previously I'd have been happy to wish him well wherever he went.

I don't know what went on with Bego at the end. He clearly wanted out and was dropped. Walters wanted out and was dropped. Players take these things in different ways. At least we knew where we stood and didn't waste any more time on it.
He may well have behaved poorly but I still think he is a fine keeper and a good guy. Once agents get involved we know what happens. Berahinho, Odemwingie, Nzonzi. Ultimately I personally prefer to remember the brilliant performances not the other stuff. It's your choice.

I don't give a shit what the consensus is.
Bego wanted out of Stoke City Football Club.
He purposefully put himself in the shirt of an enemy. It's only through luck he's playing, the money-grabbing fuckwad.
Fucking cunt. I hate him. He gave up Stoke for money, nothing else.
Fuck Bego. Prick.

I actually don't know, the only ex keeper I know of ours who's been in a bit of bother recently is Carlo Nash for sitting in his ex wives garden wanking himself silly, the last part of that statement may not be 100% fact. the last bits probably true goalkeepers are good with their hands
