Jamie Vardy - what's that all about? Even with the declining talent pool, I didn't get it last season and still don't get it.
Jonny Walters is twice the player.
Can't have been too many less talented England internationals in the last 30 years.
Having said that, such is the farcical nature of the game, he could well notch 3 or 4 against this lot.
Shelvey's decent enough though

At least he's not playing Stones at right back, which had been suggested earlier in the day.
Have we really, in 2015, got nobody better than Phil 'milk float at Le Mans' Jagielka?

The 'holding' midfield looks terribly weak and will be exploited against top oppo.
As for Vardy, well words fail me. He can run fast that's about it.

As much as I dislike him Chris Smalling has had an excellent start (I didn't see the Swansea game so he may have been shit in that I don't know) to the season and probably should be starting.
Vardy is awful.
Why no Butland?
And about time he played Barkley.

He's clearly giving experience to fringe players. I'd have played Butland.

Against top opposition though he's nowhere near this side surely? Carrick or Delph play who imo are both decent. But obviously would love better than both of them for against the better teams.

England need to decide on an Eleven and play them every match (barring injuries) from now on. Build up an understanding.

Is this a case of "Chelsea wanted to sign Stones so he must be good and be picked for England"? Vardy is like a faster SJW but without the goal scoring record. Shouldn't be within a country mile of the England team. Shelby should have been in the England setup for a while. Can drive a team forwards.

You've got to try some people out. But useless fucks like Vardy and Mason should be nowhere near the squad anyway for me.

We've tried chopping and changing and handing out caps like confetti. All this 'well we know what Rooney can do' etc is bollocks. Yeah we know - FAIL IN TOURNAMENTS.

You've got to test options out so you know you can rely on plan B, C etc. The back 5 is probably close to what it will be in the Euros (Cahill aside). In the midfield we're resting our more defensive players for an actual test on Tuesday and giving some decent attacking options a go. And the strikeforce is a Sterling away from being our best front 3.

England XI to face San Marino: Hart, Clyne, Stones, Jagielka, Shaw, Shelvey, Milner, Barkley, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Vardy, Rooney. Goodness me, we really have kept the Club brands but outsourced the dirty business of actually playing the game to overseas players.

Didn't Woy say England Cricketers could play against San Marino, yet plays a fairly strong team for what England have. Not being biased but honestly think Jack should of started tonight and Hart on Tuesday. Happy to see Shelvey though.

I've always slagged him off but this season (from what I've seen of it) he actually looks like a defender and starting to read the game. Maybe Danny Blind is telling him what to do.
