Do we think he might start against the world beaters San Marino? England play Switzerland on Tuesday and it would make sense to field a younger inexperienced team and save the usual suspects against the Swiss. To be fair most teams in the football league would turn these over.

Hart had a poor 12 months but hes back to his best recently.
So if Hart goes on another of those dips in form its possible to see him getting dropped by Man City and then by England which could open up the door for Jack.
Hes only 22 so he still has some time until his peak, but I dont see any major weaknesses in his game so far.
I always felt Begovic had 2 weaknesses: 1 was his positioning on free-kicks was very poor, and his kicking which he did improve eventually.

Hope he had a word for Diouf too, following his recent "hand of God" attempt. Didn't like to see that at all, just as bad as the divers in my opinion.

Your right though bob hope chance methinks.

To be fair, after Hart was dropped a few seasons ago, he's come back and been absolutely superb. At 22 though, Jack has time on his side.

He's a cocky young bugger and brimming with self-confidence. I think he's ace and will be an integral part of a great team if he sticks with us. He doesn't mince his words either. Good lad, Jack. OS.

He's from a Rugby family? I like him even more now. Seems tough as nails which is a sight to see in the modern game. I too share the same annoyance with all those pufters rolling around as if they were shot only to look up and bound up as they see the play is going continue on. I wish the ref could pepper spray them with his magic foam.

I fucking love Jack Butland, he's obviously going end up at a top club before long, I just hope we get two or three years out of him here before then.

I fucking love Jack Butland, he's obviously going end up at a top club before long, I just hope we get two or three years out of him here before then. Yeah, it's a shame but it's almost inevitable. English and incredibly talented. There's a certain Manchester team who might need a new keeper next season. Still, I'm enjoying watching him play right now. While Asmir is an amazing keeper, something tells me Jack has the potential to be better and that is a massive deal for the club.

Been saying that I could see a bid from Man Utd next summer for a few weeks now.

From the comment sections underneath the article : "Does that mean he'll come out in the press when his Stoke teammates dive? I can't remember him saying anything when Victor Moses blatantly dived against Swansea. He didn't say anything when Shaqiri was diving against West Brom to try and get their players sent off last weekend. He doesn't say anything when Ryan Shawcross wrestles the opposition when he's defending corners. Stoke are the dirtiest team around and that won't change by him pretending to be the new golden boy of English football" - Must be a bitter arsehole fan
