With news of Walters now being told he has to stay put it looks to me like this is the end of our business! How'd you feel? Air your grievances!

I like the fact we've had a quiet day personally. Shows that Hughes is satisfied with his squad, he sees them day in day out in training and feels he has enough to work with. Time will tell whether that proves to be the right decision but there's no panic buying so we go with what we've got.....

Same, there's been a dead wasp on the window sill for about a week now, along with a Wispa wrapper. I need to look where I went wrong in life.

For heavens sake, put a sock in it. We got a 240+ page thread on the window containing as many comments/grievances as the human mind is capable of. Another 240 pages and there'll be a run on bandages and razor blades in Stokies' homes all over the world!

Gives me much more confidence then Pulis' shopping tactics

I feel we have an unbalanced squad with certain positions extremely short if we get injuries.Only time will tell and we have to get on with it but with Hughes going for Jedinak it proves he feels we needed to buy in that area which concerns me now.

I'm pleased Jon Walters is staying.
We saw how important Whelan was the other day and in Ryan's absence we need this type of player to maintain some steel...

Fairly happy. I would have liked the club to go big on a CM to replace N'Zonzi but it seems they were not able to identify a target with his physical attributes who could also use the ball to some degree. I prefer to see us go with what we have rather than just sign some meathead who can't play.

The squad isn't perfect but it's a lot stronger than when Hughes took over. Pleased with the way the club is going, still work to do though. Things will start to click on the pitch and we will be fine. Some of the knicker-wetting on here this last 72hrs has been pure gold.

We need a centre back, central midfielder and winger. It's been pretty bad I'd say. We're still 3 short despite making a load of signings. Given and Haugaard will do a job. Is Johnson the sort of full back you need when you don't have your regular right sided centre back and his 3 replacements aren't the best defender? Wollscheid-we signed a fifth choice centre back, wow. Van Ginkel-work in progress, not what we needed but lets hope he can be sooner rather than later. Afellay-God knows. Joselu-not really needed but will do well. Have I forgotten anyone? Not counting the kiddies. EDIT-and the starting XI is weaker. Ace.

Would have liked Jedinik to strengthen the midfield, otherwise very happy We got one of our main targets and could of or could still possibly strengthen the midfield... Could of been better but we don't know the full plan.

That's the trouble when you do your business early ....people still think we should spend up until the deadline ....if we'd signed 3 of those players today instead of July and August we'd be buzzing
We also broke out transfer record for a fee paid

I would have liked to have had a more ready-made and long term replacement for N'Zonzi rather than MVG, but I do like him and think he'll prove to be a decent signing as the season moves on.
I didn't agree with the general consensus on here that we needed an 'experienced leader' or whatever at the back. It won't be long until Ryan's back and making an already fresh spine of our team even fresher probably wouldn't have been a good thing; plus I also think Muniesa is great and Cameron is winning me around.
Jury's still out on Joselu as I haven't seen anywhere near enough of him, Johnson was shrewd as fuck, Affelay has been disappointing so far and Shaq will prove to be a great signing I'm sure.
It was also nice to see some fresh faces in the youth setup that have every chance of making it to the first team in a few years, so that's always a welcome addition.
Overall? Pretty decent. 7/10

We are a weaker team than the team that finished last season, how can anyone honestly say it's been a good window...

Yeah I wouldn't say it has been great at all.
But no point crying about it now.
Onwards and upwards supporting the team.

Which 3? There's only one that got me excited. Afellay didn't even raise a semi! We've penny pinched again. Hopefully Hughes can make silk purse out of a sow's ear!
