Are than any Stoke fans that seriously think we are or will be in a relegation battle this season? Reading some of the comment's over the message board this weekend there seems to be genuine concern. I personally don't think we will be because of the strength and depth in our current squad. I do think we should push Cameron into central midfield and bring Marc Wilson into central defense. A small minority of fans are too quick to judge especially after four games.

I don't think we will be but I do think we'll be bottom half of the table if things stay the same. You're judging Van Ginkel aren't you after 4 games?

No. It'll be a slow start as we've seen. We need to hold our nerve and we will be just fine. So many players need to gel but it will happen.

I don't mind Cameron in the middle (despite being a useless gun toting American obviously) but just the mere thought of him as being our N'Zonzi replacement makes me cry. If that happens and people say we haven't had a bad window then they're a liar.

no we will finish between 10th-12th which after losing N'Zonzi and being without Shawcross for most of the season will be a very good season

As much as I hate the sight of the current table, I think we will be fine'. I don't however see us eclipsing last seasons total, I think next season, in the words of the scousers, is our fucking year!!!
This group is going to take some time to gel.

With the new faces, we could struggle till Christmas. After that, with the return of Ryan and the bedding-in period for the new signings over, we should start to work our way up the table again.

I certainly hope not but it could be a bumpy ride at times until we can find our best side and get them all playing well

Personally I believe we should be planning this season without Ryan, even if he comes back he will require months to regain his match fitness and form, the lack of forward planning at the club this summer is worrying, we could be in serious trouble by Christmas if we carry on as we are.

Cant argue with that to be honest. In hindsight, we should have sent him for his op at the back end of last season - we were safe and it would have allowed to problem to be dealt with for this season. As for the planning by messrs such as Scholes etc., we did not need a dozen signings. In my opinion, last seasons side with the Addition of another centre-half, another holding mid player to cover Glenn, a winger and a striker would have sufficed, especially if we had busted a gut to keep the Zonz.

No the quality will shine through...we have only been outplayed for one half of the Spurs and Norwich matches and in both have showed we are more than capable to compete

I certainly hope not but it could be a bumpy ride at times until we can find our best side and get them all playing well Agree, that though is the job of the manager he bought the majority of these players in, he must have some idea of where they fit into his formation, it seems he is changing the formation of the team in an attempted to accommodate some of these players, it is not working that is plain to see.

I still think we will finish at least 8th still. Only wrist slashers like biscuit must seriously think that we will get relegated.

We shouldn't be glancing at the panic button let alone pushing it. We need some players to gel together, some to get healthy, some to get match fit. It's happening, and its still early. Once the light bulb goes off we are going to be a very dangerous club.

I actually think we will be ...
If Shawcross is out until after Xmas.
We are obviously not going to sign a replacement and/or a defensive midfielder .....that to me is a massive gamble.

I think honestly we have started at home pretty abysmally. Although away from home we've done exactly what I'd hope for. Not losing and taking a point away. West brom we would've won had circumstances not prevented this. I think we'd have to be extremely unlucky to find ourselves in a relegation battle once we settle which tbh I thought we looked a bit more on Saturday we will pick up more points. Ryan comes back to shore up the defence. I like van ginkel And really do think he will come good. Persevere with this squad and I expect an upturn in results. The table doesn't make pretty looking but it will improve

I don't believe we will be relegated but 8th is completely unrealistic City Manure Arse Chekski Bin dippers Spurs Swansea For me are all dead certs to finish ahead of us To finish 8th we need to beat the likes of palace and west ham who've had very good windows and Southampton if they regain last years forn Can't see it happening to be honest More around 11/12 place

Technically we are all in a relegation battle but I don't think we'll be in any danger of been anywhere near the bottom 3 come the end of the season . It's been a slow start and not one that we would of wanted but by Christmas I fully expect things to of fallen into place .
We'll finish about 9th again

It's bloody obvious that if we hadn't had to play 9 v 11 on Saturday, we'd be sitting comfortably midtable with 5 points instead of 2, with signs of 'gellification' on the pitch and relaxing during our international break, watching others scramble in an undignified manner around the last minute transfer deals รก la TP. One win, two away draws and a narrow defeat would feel very different and we all know we are in a false position.
