Oliver could have sent off LMH, Bowen and Bojan (would have been silly). Atkinson would certainly have sent off all 3.
Styles would have sent off Arnie for having a silly haircut!

Oliver is one of those particularly annoying refs who seems to like making a decision just because ''it's brave'' We had it with the Shawcross pulling in the box penalty.
Problem is the spineless little cuntrag failed to do it a week or so later at Old Trafford I believe it was..?
I think he should at least hit puberty before he's allowed to ref again

All the lot of them are as bad as one another at the moment. A look at match of the day last night simply confirms it. All the big decisions either bottled or wrong. It appears they referee games to be noticed. It's all about them. They seem to forget that they are there to allow the common sense, safe, free flow of the game rather than to enforce every piddling little sub section of the referees hand book and thereby put themselves centre stage.

I've just switched the tv on to see John Moss give the most stupendously soft yellow card to Norwich's Whittaker which was his second yellow and resulted in a red. Absolutely ludicrous, spoiled the game. No fucking common sense. Then Pelle dives in the box trying to con a penno and he doesn't even speak to him. No idea of the dynamics of the game just swallowed the rule book. Wank the lot of them.

I was thinking of this question last night.
Styles by a country mile for me - Gillingham away was probably the angriest I've ever been at a football match. Then Atkinson. Oliver a long way behind.

I've got me dander up on this one. As the commentator has just said 'the sending off changed the game' That's the problem. Referees are affecting the outcome of games when it shouldn't be the case. Their 'interpretation' of the rules is so wildly different (even during the same game) that it's become a lottery. One game you flick someones face and get sent off - Afalay One game you commit 3 sending off offences within the space of 10 seconds and only get a yellow - Huth

They are all three types of shit, one is a soft sloppy turd, one is one of those hard turds that give you a pain in the arse and the other one is just a bucket of Diorreha. It does not matter which one goes with what kind of shit.

I think the authorities made a mistake with Oliver at quite a young age. The very fact that he used to watch Blue Peter - let alone go on the bloody show and talk about his ambition to be a professional referee - suggests he should really have been withdrawn from mainstream society for everyone's good. I mean look at him, he's even married to a female referee. Imagine if Hitler had been allowed to marry Margaret Thatcher. It just wouldn't be allowed in politics, so why in football?
Off the pitch, Atkinson and Styles are probably less dangerous to humanity. It really does take a special kind of attention-seeking tosser to give two soft red cards to one team while letting similar offences go unpunished for their opponents though.

Snap! The current crop are nowhere near. Yesterday Gardiner could have been sent off but Affelay's petulance is a red card offence and the lino sent Adam off - probably justifiably. Honourable mention should go to the ref who sent 2 Millwall players off against us and they still managed a 2-0 win, God we were crap. And who was the fat one who never gave us a free kick in over 50 games (I think)

Easy, styles for sending off 2 players in such an important game! The remaining 9 were awesome that night, brynjar in particular turning in an heroic performance.

Atkinson is probably the worst but most inoffensive looking. Both Styles and Oliver have faces you could never tire of punching.

Now I'm stretching my brain, didn't Styles give a 90th min penalty vs Derby which was ludicrous and all wrong? Meant we lost.
Styles was incompetent, clumsy and rash. His poor performances weren't limited to us
Oliver to me is the modern celebrity ref. He clearly enjoys the attention. He gave the only penalty for grappling in the box last season, when every defender and his dog was doing it. He missed one of the most blatant handball against the shit and was only 5 yards away.
To me Atkinson is just incompetent.
