Not a sending off in my opinion. ?????? if we had a vote on which player if any would be sent off first then i`m sorry but the vast majority if not all would say Charlie...he is full of Scottish blood ...has anyone seen Naismiths at Spurs tonight ? again Scottish blood

Hand on the badge to say Stoke proud...fuck off...we love players who battle hard and fair...players who lose the ball and try to win it back if its lost...players who run their socks off for 90 minutes...thats the Stoke philosophy...

Charlie was a dick today, but he'll be back with performances and goals that will win us points.

I thought he was playing really well up until that point too
Loses his head too often unfortunately (although still don't think it was red)

Charlie was a dick today, but he'll be back with performances and goals that will win us points. You can't deny that Charlie hasn't scored the most important goals for us in the Hughes era. Salvaging a point for us against Swansea in the last minute to put us three all, grabbing the winner at brom to seal us with ninth place in 2013/14, and again last season at home to Southampton, Sunderland, spuds and Liverpool, to ensure a record points haulage. Yes he's heavy footed in the tackle and doesn't have the best fitness but he's a real invaluable member to the squad and gives us another dimension IMHO

I can't say that for certain. I've just seen it happen enough times to know how Adam reacts to these things and to know he has a vicious streak. Dawson was being a cunt with that scissor kick, so Charlie decided to be deliberately clumsy and tread on his leg with his full weight on it. His reaction after sort of gave it away, as soon as the ref pointed at him he knew what was coming. Dawson got what he deserved and it should not have been a red because the linesman cannot read Charlie's mind so should assume it was accidental. I could assume it was accidental, it is just my gut feeling from having seen Adam do a few deliberately nasty challenges on people in the past, that he probably did intend to tread on the guy. Just my opinion though.

He can be yes, but he also has an incredible shot and an incredible range of passing. And for a fat bloke he can actually run with the ball quite well. He's a very good player, he just cannot tackle properly and loses his head on occasion.

I like him as a bloke (from the little I've read and seen) and like him as a footballer. He's had a bit of a shit week with the Scotland snub and now this so I won't be getting on his back. Such a shame though as he would have made a massive difference second half, was crying out for some 40yrd worldly from the deep fried Messi.

Your opinion and all that. Charlie will not make more than a dozen appearances for us this year. Would you like a little 10p wager??

I am making a subjective judgement based on what I know about Adam. The officials shouldn't be doing that, they should just make a decision based on what they saw. What they saw was a bloke who was deliberately tripped by his opponent, lost his balance and then happened to step on his opponent's leg. It happened right in front of me and I was furious at the time. When the linesman first flagged I assumed it was for a foul against Dawson given he was blatantly kicking out. Having seen the replay from a slightly different angle, I think Charlie had stepped on the guy, with his full weight. I think he is being deliberately clumsy.

We will never know whether or not he meant it. You think one way, me the other. I'm just disappointed he will be banned for three games. Genuinely thought we looked better with him in the team for that first half an hour.
