Shaq was excellent I thought. Very difficult for him to impress in those sort of circumstances
Twice nutmegged an opposition defender, some incredible touches. Still early days but looks very promising.

Some superb first touches to bring the ball under control, and some good approach play. He looked like he was linking up well. His crossing rarely beat the first man though so still a bit to work on. 2 games in? I reckon he'll be a cracking player for us once we get firing on all cylinders! For all intents and purposes, today could have been that day. The first 20 mins or so we looked completely in control and there was some great movement off the ball; the lads looked well up for it. Gutted it all fell apart really. Agree with that, great assessment. Massive positive for me was that he was willing to put himself about when we were down to 9, popping up everywhere, switching flanks. He was knackered after 35 minutes vs Norwich, he looked much sharper today, so he's getting there fitness wise. Marvellous player, agile, clever, touch. Brill. Are Switzerland playing in the break? Yeah they're playing England ain't they? Edit - beaten to it.

Ow rate, did some good things. Passed brilliantly, ran the channels. WBA squeezed him but 2 games in you can tell he has it in him and can change a game with a cracking shot. Tracked back and defended too which was nice to see. Player I'd love to see get more minutes on the wing for us at Arsenal. No intention to be controversial but I believe this is a legitimate question: watching a player for two games one can conclude that he has it in him ( shaqiri) and I agree; so watching a player for around 15 games one cannot conclude that he does NOT have it in him ? (Referring to wollscheid of course) You see, Shaqiri I've watched since his birth at a lil club called Bayern Munich... it's just a matter of learning the English game for him. Wollscheid is from the same cloth of Bayern Leverkusen... two clubs with excellent scouting and academies. It's all on how the manager uses his players. By using Wollscheid in his current form with another iffy centerback call-up who was just coming back from injury in Marc Wilson was a bit of a gamble to be honest versus Luton. It also takes optimism to also conclude they'll turn it around. Hughes put them in there to win that game and we came out of it with scruff but hey they learned something. Honestly, it could be another 30 games before Wolly makes his name here or he leaves beforehand, but he's our player on the books so there is no need to chuff the lad who is a Stoke player into purgatory to prioritize another. The only reason I can see a player getting into the dog house is if they do not try their hardest or are a problem in the squad.

2 red cards and a defeat to Pullis? Time for benjamin butthead to entirely miss the point of watching a nine-man Stoke side play positive possession football, leaving the Pullisballer's to resort to time wasting despite having a two man advantage. Their away following has dwindled (surprise!) and I would have been ashamed travelling home as a WBA fan this evening. Be loyal, be proud, be Stoke!

Totally off the pace for me another one that's taken us back not forwards not in the same league as Moses early games the folly of the summer chases and bargain buys ruthlessly exposed again on a Saturday afternoon. Get used to it we are in a serious mess . I actually can't believe I've just read that I can. He's proven today just what kind of fan he is. He felt it completely appropriate and justified to have a pop at the club's transfer policy and the players giving it their all on the field (including 3 new boys) at half-time. Duna worry we are better than last year and its only early in the window Total and utter lack of understanding of the premier league by a team totally unbalanced by a shit Summer look forward to my nornal Admirers eating shit all night as I plug the 220 miles home . Truly terrible performance lackimg professionalism all round naivety in the extreme . 1 point from 4 and arsenal away next followed by Leicester and Bournemoutn so very likely bottom after that lot some fucking window In the past he's bought us absolute pearlers such as these posts below. Despite being proven frequently in the wrong and takes the cowardly route of predicting doom and saying he'd be 'happy to be proven wrong' (but is more than happy to say 'I told you so'), he continues to pour bile on the club and its staff. I rarely say this about another human being, let alone a fellow Stokie, but he is an absolute spunktard: The main thing we lacked in the window was desire to invest we sought solace in the bargain basement and now we are getting bargain basement results m Bardsley , sidwell , Bojan , assadi have contributed nothing positive between them I think we can all agree that Bojan did indeed go on to have a great contribution to our season. I'm here but nothing to add to what I've said since sept All thevstuff ive said before just coming home to roost 1this team is in deep trouble 2bardsley has proved to be a very poor buy and Cameron needs to go back to right back it got s to 9th 3we will struggle to get to 20 by new year and are then in the mix for the run in 4we desperately miss odemwinge 5 we look like a championship team when you take Moses out as proved by hit and hope last 15 6 arnie is mentally shot today was a poor decision should have been assadi given his cameo that provided the wining goal against Swansea 7 our recruitment in the bargain basement has bought bargain basement results like losses to villa burnley burnley at home over a season these get you relegated not the freak result here and there . 8 we need to invest in proven premier league physicality and delivery in January otherwise we are in very very real peril as we keep losing to all these allegedly crap teams 9 we face a barrage of 6 pointers away now in the second half of the season The above was posted last year. Sound familiar? Really beginning to fear for this management team now obsession with lack of steel and formation is killing us Arnie should be no where near on form alone and that was supposed to be hughes strength form and form alone , , whelan a must should have started no question . Dont want to be right but fear bottom three beckons on the back of a series of late november and December defeats And apparently he's NEVER criticised Hughes! Think the Hughes contract will be a big signal . He ran his contract down at Fulham and you wouldn't blame him if he did the same here just waiting to see if the next two windows show the same investment policy . Candidly he has got very little to gain by signing a new contract as his star continues to rise he would already get a number of jobs he would not have got 18 months ago any mid table premier league team would take him the key is will lack of investment limit his options in his view We all know how that panned out don't we? Actually I have never lacked faith in the club this manager or the owners , I have and continue to question the ability of the commercial team to deliver the next level they so loosely talk of and believe poor commercial thinking is behind the low fees, contract anniversaries and failure to get transfers over the line.Time will tell if I'm right or wrong but regardless. I will be their week after week. 'Never lacked faith in the club this manager' - the post I've quoted above and your constant hand-wringing over new players he's brought in shows this assertion to be BOLLOCKS. Agreed to go to schalke player and clubs agreed All talk no walk on next level again Mr Scholes Yip, he sure did sign for Schalke. Oh no, hang on... Said months ago would not be surprised if Everton end up with a front three of Lennon Lukaku and Moses 2 of which would have been perfect next players for us, and better use of an inflated wages pitch than kono , shaq or Yarmo where we have such slim chance of success. ... this Shaq fella you're on about, 'where we have such slim chance of success'... (and still no sign of Moses or Lennon at Everton btw) If he did sign for Everton big if on Loan I'd love to see the defence of our approach to the whole Shaq transfer on here and even better the guardian article explaining it straight from the horses mouth as I think to most reasoned observers it would game set and match to Mr Biscut. As it would pose the question what the fock have been trying to do all Sumer and how have we been trying to do it . ... he signed for us didn't he?!!!

We actually lost in case it's slipped your minds . Totally agree WBA were shit Pulis is a tinker revelling in our misery on his way back to Poole But because WBA are shit doesn't make us good we aren't we have 2 points the same as Sunderland . Our 5 million centre forward isn't anywhere near a start , Affelley brutally exposed in this league and no matter what you say Shaq has made no impact I.n either game. Our £3 million centr half not good enough for the match day squad even without shawcross I didn't say shaq was shit I just said this far he has added no value and the brutal facts are he hasn't and for me looks a way off doing so .

Panic stations everyone the season has barely started and we have a squad of players who can be awesome when they have gelled together.

Get used to it we are in a serious mess . Think it's funny how you can criticise as player who isn't fully fit, hasn't had a pre-season, hadn't played in 3 months, playing in a new league and with new team mates. Against Norwich he showed his class with his footwork and delivery, he tired second half granted but it was to be expected. This game he came very close to scoring early on and made some fantastic runs. What can he do when we are down to nine? When he's frying on all clyinders for us we will have a unbelievable player. Judge him by December-January is he's made an impact, not two games in
