It's been scientifically estimated that by the year 2021 everyone in the North West of England will have been a member of this band. And some other folk an all.
Luxuriate.

"Scientically" ? Is that specifically under the arms , ribs, feet ....with a feather or just the use of digits?

Possibly a commentary on Oasis, or about his dislike for Noel's collaboration with the Chemical Broithers, or those things and summat else entirely different as well. This week's new current Fall fave.....
Noel's Chemical Effluence...

My favourite Fall memory is ... spending an hour in the dressing room, post gig at Holborn Uni circa. '83 discussing the merits of psilocybin with Mark E. Smith.
We were both pretty battered mind.

Good luck with that. I've seen'em 3 times, although 20yrs+ since & I'm not sure what I got each time I know what you mean. It is a bit of an adventure. Hey Joe? Tell us about the adventure. Where are you seeing them, will you have to fly? Will you try and get a selfie with Mark on a sunny beach? {that would be good for the curmudgeon.} etc etc... I'm envious. I believe that his current bass player was formerly in an AC/DC covers band in Huddersfield {I think} and has added extra growl. Hope it rocks. "Influential English post-punk group The Fall is returning to Australia this October to perform shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. The Fall and its leader Mark E. Smith have a place as one of the most pre-eminent groups in any discerning musical history across the last four decades. The Fall, more than any other group, are definitive and transcendent of a whole musical world and pop culture: post-punk. The Fall are famously “the favourite ever group” of legendary UK DJ John Peel, and they recorded easily the most of his prized and much coveted BBC radio sessions. Their 24 Peel Sessions between 1978 and 2004 are testament to the brilliance and originality of Mark E. Smith. Peel’s perfect characterisation of The Fall “always different, always the same” has fallen into common musical folklore and parlance. If you’re a fan of The Fall they will never let you down. Always evolving, always relevant, always vital, always uncompromising, always The Fall. Released in May, "Sub-Lingual Tablet" is The Fall’s 31st studio album in a 39 year history. In addition to the studio albums they have released more than triple that, counting live albums and other compilations; The Fall is noted for its prolific output. Essentially built around its founder and only constant member, Mark E. Smith, The Fall formed in Manchester in 1976 and has existed ever since. Smith has shuffled and rebooted the line-up countless times over the years and as a result the group always remain fresh, vital, energised and unlike any other band. The current line-up is Peter Greenway (lead guitar), Keiron Melling (drums), Elena Poulou (keyboards, vocals), Mark E. Smith (vocals) and David Spurr (bass). The last time The Fall played in Australia was in 2010 when they played a blinding set to enraptured audiences."

Brix E Smith was top indie crumpet back in the day. Isn’t she Mrs Nigel Kennedy now? Not sure off top of me head, think she may have moved on from that... Back to America? I remember her band The Adult Net, but only recall 'incense and peppermints'.. Mark E Smith's output post that break up was brill, full of discordant violin and bile. 'Extricate' and 'Fiend with a Violin' stuff. Richard and Judy? in happier times? MES has been hailed as a seuthsayer, insights into the future.. credited by some for predicting the Terry Waite kidnap, Diana's Death, Manchester bombing, and the Alton Towers accident {with this 'Disney' track.} amongst much more.

A prequel to them peaky blinders flat caps and that. All them kind of special folk.
Think I'm happy that's put a lid on the output. Now is a good time to properly catch up.

Met a mate who went, To The Castle in Manchestah to pay a bit of an homage to Marc. And maybe to get a good priced pint an' all. Said the barmaid said, "He was a right miserable twat, but hardly ever rude."
