Whelan for Adam and Walters for Crouch maybe? Agreed, Whelan and Walters must be in there somewhere. Abdy Faye had a tremendous impact, but in terms of longevity, I'm not sure he warrants number 5.

I'd say nzonzi deserves higher with Huth deserving a place in that list... Faye wasn't here long enough, other than that it doesn't look too shabby!

Depends on the criteria I suppose
List 1: How good there were at their peak for Stoke
1) Bojan, 2014-15 2) Begovic, 2012-14 3) Shawcross, 2011-15 4) Fuller, 2008-10 5) Etherington, 2009-11 6) Nzonzi, 2014-15 7) Huth, 2010-12 8) Odemwingie, 2014 9) Adam, 2013-15 10) Crouch, 2011-13
List 2: Overall contribution to the cause, more emphasis on longevity and their role in the success we have achieved since promotion
1) Shawcross 2) Fuller 3) Etherington 4) Huth 5) Begovic 6) Crouch 7) Walters 8) Faye 9) Delap 10) Sorensen
Feel a bit guilty leaving Whelan off that second list though

I don't think Sorensen should be in there personally.
I'd have Whelan, Shawcross, Nzonzi, Fuller, Begovic, Walters, Delap, Etherington, Huth and Adam

How is Huth not in there? I can remember his 9 goal season.

If only Peter Hoekstra had played for us in the Premier League (fit and 23 years old/young).
Fuck.

Never...... 1) Ryan 2) Ethers 3) Huth 4) Sorensen 5) Abdy 6) Delap 7) Walters 8) Begovic 9) Ric 10) N'Zonzi Not necessarily in that order, and excluding recent additions (Bojan, Arnie etc).

Abdy Faye is the best player I've seen since we've been promoted. He was that good. Even more so when you consider how weak that squad was in the first season, and how immense he was. And it wasn't just winning headers and making hoof clearances. He was an absolute rock with complete composure and brilliant quality on the ball. He's easily in the top 10.

People forget quite how good he was. I've never seen a Stoke centre half perform as well as Abdy did at his peak. He was absolutely faultless.

You've missed one from the top list though... Beatie, 31 January 2009

Gonna have to disagree jezza. In the first season I believe he was THE most important player and reason we survived just ahead of Ric. He played out of his skin all season and was a joy to watch.

I don't think Sorensen should be in there personally. I'd have Whelan, Shawcross, Nzonzi, Fuller, Begovic, Walters, Delap, Etherington, Huth and Adam If we could only have one keeper I would go for Sorenson over Begovic and actual impact made. Sorenson was a major factor in us staying up in that first season and beyond.
