Kevin-Prince Boateng is the man. Suspended indefinatly by Schalke in may 2015 Yarmo money on him. Balls out. You mention us signing too many players for fancy flicks etc but yet you mention going balls out for boateng, the biggest mercenary ever!!!

And a player head and shoulders above anything else we have in centre mid. Nzonzi has allready gone so it's not a case of change by choice, is it? It's a needed replacement to a replace an allready departed player of Nzonzi's quality.

They're different kinds of player though aren't they, KPB and Nzonzi? And isn't KPB's knee knacked?

He's a box to box presence mate exactly what we need he's also proven in English football with plenty of experience. KPB and Zonz are simalar players, he can play deep and further forward & box to box, good with the ball at his feet as well. I'm not aware of any knee problems

He's proven he's a twat in English football, he's nothing like nzonzi anyway, I'd shit myself with him in centre mid, I get that it's all about opinions!!! Why has he been suspended?

To be fair Nzonzi proved to be a twat in English Football, unless you consider handing in a transfer request every summer and not bothering to turn up for the awards evening reasonable. KPB was suspended for being a twat though.

I think we have more than our fair share of over 30's already. The last thing we need is another golden oldie to sit on the bench. The only benefit Nolan brings is that he is home grown. So that's a no from me.

Nolan will probably end up on Bolton's bench.
I'd take Heskey though.

Boateng has always been known for his aggression and leadership.[88] A 2012 analysis of the player's qualities on the ESPN website suggests that at the time he signed for Milan, the manager needed a trequartista, but that Boateng did not appear to possess the skillset normally associated with that role. His game has a particular dependence on "sheer strength, power and energy". He can produce the work rate, ball retrieval and attacking willingness of the box-to-box midfielder, but is not especially creative, "influencing the game with power rather than craft". He combines technical skill with speed of action, and according to ESPN's analyst, "that's what makes Boateng so dangerous. It's not always what he does, but the speed with which he does it".[89] Boateng is utilized in a variety of positions: either box-to-box,[7] or as an attacking midfielder or forward.[90]
Boateng is known for his strength, footspeed, and ball-juggling tricks.[12][13] A 2014 profile on FIFA's official website described Boateng as "blessed with strength, speed, killer instinct in front of goal, and an uncommon flamboyance in the attacking third".[14]
That's a player available right there that would be a more than adequate replacement for SN, unless he has exploding knees like Demba Ba I don't see the problem.

I just take your word for that description do I? Dewmba Ba crocked, or Charlie Austin crocked? Just because he's good on FIFA doesn't make him a good signing in real life. He has had disciplinary problems at every club he has played for and for the German under-21s and the Ghanaian national team. It's one thing taking a risk on a 20 year old who might mature and change but if he hasn't changed at Milan or at Schalke then he isn't going to sort his life out with Stoke imo. As for his knees watch any of his games for Schalke or the latter half of his career in Milan, he is a shadow of the potential shown at Pompey. He's got no fight, he has no bottle and he has never seem to give a shit about any club he has played for. I thought when they released him he'd be an ace signing but after doing a little research, he's not someone I want anywhere near our club.

Yeah but he doesn't have a 'trequartista' and everyone on here knows both what that not only means, but how much you have to rub on it if it gets sore Right chaps..?

Sure he's got a long-standing knee problem. Hasn't he just failed a medical somewhere because of it?
