Absolutely and totally spot on Muniesa: " it’s not about him, it’s about us" - Be respectful of what he did - but at the end of the day we need to stuff them. The former manager would absolutely love to stick one on us - we have to shaft him instead.

It's going to add spice to a generally spicy affair between us. I was a big fan of tp but I have enjoyed the hughes era. When things are flowing all is good when a relegation battle is on the horizon I know who I would prefer. I am worried about set pieces on Saturday. No doubt about that but hopefully it's an entertaining affair regardless. Go on stoke!

This will be the ONLY time we can give one of our most successful managers, who didn't want to leave, a rousing thank you.

I expect a similar write up in The Marksmen on Saturday???? I'm off down Gala for some new dabbers. Yes I can imagine the Pulis Witch Finder General will be taking an especially long look for any sign of blasphemy by the heretics; blatant or coded! There is apparently a football match organised around the tears, applause, love banner waving and heretic hunting. We will let you know how that went if you have any interest?

Forgetting Pulis for a minute.....this is a massive game for us and, perhaps even more so, for Hughes in particular.
It's a big test and with SJW apparently on his way as the not so new broom sweeps away more Pulis remnants MH really needs us to deliver.
I don't think the result is all that important IF we play well. If we are as disjointed as we have been at times so far this season then I think we'll have a mini crisis on our hands.
My big concern is that we, currently, are the type of pretty but soft side Pulis teams tend to do best against.
Hughes is the manager for us, and he is IMO the better manager, but he needs his team to step up for him on Saturday.

When we played them last season his press conference was a little bitter and twisted commenting something along the lines that Stoke were doing so well due to the players he (Pulis) brought to the club. Now on Saturday there is a good chance that only two of his signings could start (Cameron and Whelan). It would certainly be nice if we could give them a good dicking and therefore giving his disciples an opportunity to move on. However if we don't get a decent result I dread to think what this board will be like Saturday night. Come on Hughesy, send them out to fucking batter WBA.

The demise of WHam and Soton in Europe give further evidence of the good job he did.
Decent folk will stand and applaud.
By 3.01pm normal service will be resumed.

I find it astonishing that people are on about performances nowadays when in times gone past they couldn't see past a 0-0 draw or a 1-0 win if we were lucky. We need a result, performances will come.
